Quiet night along the prom on an early September Sunday. Few walkers early and bin collections from 6.30. No late night noise.
Ideal location for walks to Shaldon or train to Exeter or Plymouth as well as pubs. Recommend Blue Anchor for beer.
No facilities but Wetherspoons open late and early
We parked 5.5m Citroen Relay camper van on the road as the car park states no camping overnight. Just about within the width allowed to park. We parked up the far Northern end of town on the seafront opposite the church, just before the steep hill. The sea wall is high here so no view but it's really quiet as there is little passing traffic either pedestrian or vehicle and no buses. the road was fairly level with slight incline to the kerb but we parked over a drain to catch waste grey water. There were other vans along here. Apart from a 6am road sweeper it was extremely quiet. We were told by a local that the council do allow parking overnight in the car park.View all reviews by chrisandraquel

Middle aged couple with a dog in a pop top camper van. Visited Teignmouth on possibly the busiest day of the year, August BH, with Back Beach festival on. A large part of Den Prom is closed throughout the summer so limits the amount of parking places available. Unbelievably we managed to get space at 5pm and paid £1 for 1 hr parking. Its then free to park 6pm-9am. At 9am paid £3 for 2 hrs parking which is the maximim. The bays are narrow and on street. North Den is a no through road, so quieter . No view of sea due to wall. Weatherspoons opens at 8am. Public loos open too. The Lido pool was open at 9am for a swim & shower. East Cliff cafe do the best Bacon & Egg sandwichView all reviews by gathers
Parked here late April 2009. Suitable for my panel van conversion but wouldnt be room for a larger unit. Quiet, peaceful night. Nice level walk along the seafront. Pub within walking distance.View all reviews by AdrianAdriaTwin
