I arrived at the Beacon Car Park during severe weather, spent only several minutes there, and left. I did not pay for parking due to the adverse weather conditions. Several days later, I received a £100 parking penalty. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and absolutely discourages future visits to Beacon Car Park (I will never return). The fact that there is free parking available at the nearby Bo Peep Car Park makes this aggressive enforcement policy even more absurd.View all reviews by sirandrew

What was a free car park is now a rip off car park. No facilities except a bin. A ridiculous £25 for 24 hours is just their way of saying they don't want campers. NPR cameras take your registration as soon as you enter. Signs all over the place threatening prosecution if parked in the road. A shame that what was a favourite stopover for many has been lost due to greedy landowners and what used to be free access to the South Downs Way now charged for from the minute you arrive and enforced with heavy penalty notices.View all reviews by 2inTheVan

Busy car park with large vans even parked on the verge in front blocking any views. We also had a van pull up next to us at 1.30 in the morning, waking us both. So brilliant stop but not without its downsides.View all reviews by AgedWanderer

have been going here for years and staying over night. now there is pay and display and anpr camera. sorry but can't justify paying, I know they have had problems in the past with un sociable behaviour but it's off my favourite place list now.View all reviews by nannygg

This is a rough parking area with no facilities. It belongs to the Firle Estate who are now changing £25 to park over night and £1.20 for two hours. There are beautiful views over the coast and the Wield with walks on the South Downs Way.View all reviews by Fordham

We have just arrived at Firle Beacon and discovered that as from TODAY 25th May 2023 it is now a ‘pay & display’ car park operated by the Firle Estate. Charges £25 for 8-24 hours (cameras to be installed.) No parking signs along the side of the road. No facilities. Local village store/Post Office in Firle about 1.5 miles. However, worth a visit for the beautiful views of the South Downs and Channel.View all reviews by Timefortea

There is a path next to the entrance so there is no height restriction. Usually around 10 campervans and motorhomes stay overnight. Very quiet and lovely views. Can get busy in the mornings especially at weekends with dog walkers but if you park away from the main carpark you will be okay. Rubbish bins very useful. Fresh water available for tank (free) at YMCA Southease , a short drive away.View all reviews by Gaye
