What a lovely stellplatze, privately owned by the enthusiastic owners, Hubert and Helga, who greet you on arrival and ensure you are well looked after. Helga speaks English well enough to be understood.
The site is on the edge of the village in the large back garden of a private house and situated within their apple orchard. All the pitches are gravel hardstanding, some slightly sloping, and well spaced with grass adjacent for chairs and tables etc. Electric available at all pitches charged for each kw you use.
This is the first ever site we have stopped at where you get your own personal entrance step provided, ok its a wooden pallet covered with artificial grass, but its a nice touch and is typical of the detail the owners have gone to to make this place a little different.
The site is close to the Swiss border and is an ideal stopover if visiting the Rheinfalls which are less than 20km away but you do need to cross the border into Switzerland, but there is a manned customs check point at Kletgau where you can get the necessary paperwork (cost us 25CHF as we are over 3.5 ton - approx £16 for us and that covers ALL your toll charges in Switzerland on any road, bargain!)
