Spectacular views, twisty road up but no problem, large units with trailers there. . Great for visit to Eagles Nest, we were lucky and had great weather and great views. Lovely rustic site, unfortunately the bar was not open when we were there. Steep walk down to the village

I agree with everything the others have said. Don't visit Eagles Nest when it's not perfect weather. We paid €32 for the honour of travelling up in Hitler's lift and sitting in cloud for 2hrs hoping it would clear. It was sunny down at base ! Then to add insult to injury, wanting to cross into Austria we went up the mountain, got to a barrier, paid €8 thinking we were going over the pass but it was the circular panoramic route and we came back down by Eagles Nest car park !!!!!! Not a good day.

Stopped here after visiting the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagles Nest), which is an absolute must if in the area and the weather is fine. Access to the site is through the village, just follow the signs, it looks tight but there are big units and units with trailers that access the site. Reception in the bar opens in the evening where you pay your fee and get a beer or two. Views are spectacular with the sunlight changing the view of the mountains every few minutes. There are two rustic simple toilets if required.

Really nice site with fantastic views of the mountains, we arrived about 5pm and still spaces available but did get busy later on. Site has a small bar selling local German beers, really helpful owners. This is a fantastic site to stay if you intend visiting the Eagles Nest, also the best way to get up to it as the other road from the town is not really suitable, especially on the way down. We will be going back this year.

Stopped here twice and used it to visit the eagles nest and the salt mine tour.
You have to drive up a tight twisty road and keep an eye out for the little signs on the way up. The hut on site opens up into a little bar in the evening. Basic facilities but it was clean.
