Our CL at Red House is situated by the River Thurne with views across the meadows to the picturesque Thurne Windpump and river and we’re ideally placed for exploring the Broads and wider countryside. You can walk off our site and onto a path leading up to the river where as well as all the usual boats you may see a Norfolk Wherry sailing by.
You can fish from our riverbank which is adjacent to the site (50 metres) or day boats can be hired from Potter Heigham, 3 miles and Martham, 5 miles.
We are happy to provide moorings for your boat which can be launched from the village slipway (donations), please enquire about mooring in advance.
The area around our site at is ideal for cycling with quiet roads and byways and many small villages within cycling distance.
