Stay on one of the two quiet riverside caravan sites areas
Both caravan sites at Friars Court border the river Thames, offering a peaceful haven for those seeking a quiet escape, where they can sit and watch clouds, boats, and swans drift by.
Island CL
It’s the only site of its kind in Oxfordshire located, as it is, on a three-acre island with the river Thames to the south and a backwater with boat moorings to the north. Access to the Island CL is over an arched bridge. All pitches are on grass and adjacent to the river. Weight limit 4 ton for bridge, unit length 8m.
Cricket Bat Field
The Cricket Bat Field is a secluded three-acre field, located downriver from the Island CL, bordered on two sides by the river Thames and planted with long avenues of tall willow trees. The Cricket Bat Field is not a CL but only allow members of the CAMC may book to stay. The field may also be booked by caravan groups who hold a caravan and camping exemption licence. All pitches are on grass and and are riverside or within the field.
Coarse fishing is allowed from the 16th June - a local fishing permit can be obtained from the voluntary on-site manager.
