This is a peaceful site situated in the heart of the Somerset countryside, on the edge of the Mendip Hills. It is south facing with views over the Somerset levels. The site is part of a working farm but is about ¼ mile away from the farmhouse and buildings and therefore generally quiet.
The site backs on to a small wood and is sheltered from north winds. This means there is also an abundance of wildlife - rabbits, badgers and pheasants abound!
The field is level with unrestricted pitches. We currently have one hard standing and are considering more but we are concerned not to spoil the natural feel to the site by making it too regimented.
We welcome motor homes, awnings, children and well behaved pets and do not charge extra for them!
There is a nearby public footpath to the historic city of Wells (approximately 2 ½ miles). There are good pubs and restaurants within 3 miles - also two 18 hole golf courses.
