Our favourite "local" site. Typical club prices but chosen judicially and with Age Concession the cost can be reasonable.View all reviews by gerry941
Part sloping with some hardstandings.
As stated, easy acces to town via off road footpath / cycle way. Good bus service directly opposite. Excellent views of Old Sarum ancient hill side remains.
Leisure accessories shop close by. Additional good cycling along National Cycle route 44 on virtually traffic free road which passes "chocolate box" villages and river.
Visited during Covid19, so all toilets, showers etc closed.
Just spend the weekend here. Booked on line and there were no EHU pitches left and were told the same thing on our arrival. The pitch opposite us with EHU was empty all weekend, and that wasn't the only one. Apart from that, the views are nice, half hour walk into town and the social club next door is friendly and welcomes people from the site. Hopefully they will soon sort out the gate access so you don't have to walk right round the outside of the field to get to it!View all reviews by 3264blanchard
Arrived on a rainy day to be about no 4 in queue to book in. No problems booking in but was then told to go outside and wait to be shown to pitch. Wardens came and did the ones in front of me, then came back and took the vehicle behind me despite me standing by reception in the rain. Finally warden came to me after receptioni asked if I was still waiting. The warden went to trouble to try and find me a pitch with a view but forgot to tell me where the water point etc were.View all reviews by bushyf
Well kept site with reasonably good facilities. We were told that if we chose to put our awning up it would need to be on the hardstanding as well as the MH but the hardstanding would not have been large enough to accomodate both. Shower and toilet blocks a little tired but clean. Showers are push button but water was hot. It is a fair walk to dispose of rubbish and recycling if you are on the bottom field. There is a bus stop 5 mins walk from the site with buses into the city and it is possible to walk into the city in about 30 mins. There is a small coop shop about 10 mins walk from the site.View all reviews by DenS
lovely large site waa givin a really nice welcome from Marcus and Lisa. everything exceptionally well kept. easy to use service point & great CDPs. we were there during a yellow weather warning no problem at all with hard standing. 30-minute walk into Salisbury regular buses just outside the site Clubhouse next door if you want to use it. we looked out over old sarum - 20 minute walk. You can walk to co-op and Waitrose from a site about 20 minutes and there is a Tesco Metro in town.View all reviews by igup
Reason for the brutal review = couldn't believe how anal these people were at parking up. The guy took us to the site and could've sworn he got the tape measure out to were we parked on the grass. Showers were goid but you have to keep pressing the tap in every 2 minutes to keep up the water. Oh yeah beautiful site , but beware of the fun police. For the cost £21.00 for 2 people in a little campervan for 1 night not worth it. This place would be out of business if in AustraliaView all reviews by jo317
Lovely large site 30 min walk from S'bury town centre (or 10 min regular bus trip from front of site) The most welcoming wardens I have ever come across keeping a spotless site. Some hardstandings are available (reinforced plastic) Although mainly grass pitches the chalk ground of the area keep things well drained so we weren't worried about being on grass despite recent heavy rainfall. Harvester 10 min walk up the road plus campers are welcome in the adjoining social club 10/10 SalisburyView all reviews by teaboat1973
We have just had 2 nights on this lovely site. The wardens were friendly and helpful. The showers/toilets were immaculate. We had a lovely walk into the city, takes approx. 30 minutes, passing the largest Waitrose I've ever seen! An added bonus was the freshly made pizza on Friday night from the visiting pizza oven and chef. We will return as there still lots to do in the city.View all reviews by carolyn31
