A delightful site situated just outside of the small village of Market Overton in the grounds of The "Lodge Trust" a residential care home for adults with special needs.
The site is a small, well kept field planted with a few shrubs with all grass pitches, a few of which are reinforced, but are not proper gravel hard standing. The ground is firm and looks as though it would drain well. There is a country cafe on site serving light meals drinks and sandwiches etc. which also has a toilet you can use during opening hours.
Each pitch has an electric hookup point and there is a single water tap. You are encouraged to dispose of grey water into the hedgerow around the perimeter. The WC disposal point is behind the cafe. There is also a small laundry that can be used for a  fee (£3).
There is also a Caravan Club 5 van site in the grounds which although probably has better views across the gardens is a bit smaller.
In the village, which is only a five minute walk away, there is a small shop selling most of the essentials and some local produce, plus a lovely pub, "The Black Bull" that has plenty of real ales on offer and serves meals that are above standard pub fayre.
Plenty of cycling and walking opportunities in the area and we enjoyed a good day out riding around Rutland Water although not as flat as you would imagine it would be cycling around a lake. For garden lovers, you are not far away from Barnsdale Gardens where the BBC show "Gardeners world" was filmed.
Highly recommended site that is worth supporting for the work done by the staff of the care home.
