Last minute stopover as in the area Asked for one night but was so good stayed a second nignt easy walk in to town with good shops cafes resturants etc and loads to see and do
parked in the orchard as busy on the hard standing and didnt need electric hook Up free apples to
glad motorhome had traction control as rained on departure and took a few attempts to get up the slight slope
Grey water and toilet emptying is a manhole in courtyard
Entrace through a housing estate which after 5pm gets busy with car parking making it difficult to acess site so get there early if over 6meters long
Owner very helpful would stay again

We stayed 2 nights on our way down south. There was a wc (clean) with hot water in whb. Good price £5 per person and £5 ehu. The site owner very friendly. Short walk into town which was good. Only issue, if you arrive after 5pm it could be difficult to access due to residents returning home in the estate near the farm, but fine during the day. Very quiet although next to a railway line which was;nt busy. would stay again.

Stayed for 2 nights on our way into Wales. Very quiet site with toilet only plus EHU. Nice 20 minute walk into Shrewsbury. Felt safe during these covid times although only 2 vans here.

Basic facilities but only 15 mins walk into town. £5 per person per night & extra £5 EHU. Mrs Galliers very friendly. Because of the rain the hard standing area in the courtyard gets very messy. Not the sort of site I would use for a long stay, but OK for our 2 nights. The main plus is the closeness to town.

This is a charming cl site with an equally charming owner. It is basic though, the chemical disposal is basically lift a man hole and chuck it in. However, dont let this stop you. The site is a courtyard come orchardy garden, 10 minutes walk into Shrewsbury with all the culture, history and shopping you could ask for. My 12 yr old and I enjoyed exploring while my husband worked, the location is excellent. At £4 per person plus £4 hookup it was fantastic value for money.

Yes it is in the middle of a housing estate but please don't let this put you off. Its a new estate and quiet. From inside the site the trees and hedge rows are tall so you can't really see the houses. From the site its 10 to 12 minutes to the town, as you get to the main road there is an ally way that takes you to the river and just follow it. Nice lady owner and when she told me the price was amazed. Because it was just me and I didn't need hook up I paid 4 quid! 4 pounds / person 4.50 ehu.

What a gem of a site. Found this on search for sites again. On ringing couldn't get an answer but decided to show up in case I had got the number wrong. The owner was away but I was shown to a spot and shown where all the facilities were. The site is so close to Shrewsbury Town centre it took less than 10 minutes to get there. Also there is a cycle track all around the perimeter of the river Severn and a beautiful park called the Quarry with an inner garden known as the Dingle. A secluded and quiet gem of a site.

As has been reported through housing and unfortunately parked opposite the entrance was a car which made turning in between the walls very very tight

Yet to find where cassette dump is. Or indeed to go into Shrewsbury

Cassette emptying is in courtyard over on opposite wall with a hook to lift cover

To walk into town you trace your steps back to T-junction and to the right opposite is a small lane called Pig Trough. Follow that and at end turn right alingside River Severn into town. 30 mins to M&S

Owner is a lovely lady and very helpful. If in these parts again will most certainly be back

As has been said below, the location is in the middle of a housing estate on an old farm. It is quiet and peaceful most of the time. The owner is lovely and very welcoming. The meadow is in the main sloping but some flat areas can be found. The site is very dog friendly with some super walks near by. Its only a short stroll into town along the river. Facilities are basic with the fresh water on the way in on the left, they grey waste dump we were not able to get to, in a 6 metre van. Perfect venue if you are visiting the town for an event or similar.

This is a small site to the rear of detached house. Not really a farm it is surrounded by a housing estate so in the middle of the town. Location is perfect to walk into town and explore. Access is quite narrow but should be fine for most units. We have a 8.8m Tag Axel and made it ok. Some parked cars can cause an issue at entrance. Facilities are basic and consist of two outside toilets no showers. Owner is a lovely woman who will welcome you warmly. Great overnight stop over.

The epitome of a CS site, located less than 15 mins from town centre. Pitches are in an orchard or in what was a farm yard. Mrs Galliers is very welcoming, loves dogs, toilets are clean, ehu in farmyard. Entrance is a bit tight but negotiable with care. £4pp + £4 for ehu if required.
