Second visit of the year. Facilities as good as before but a few changes. Additional pitches x5 for motor homes not using the toilet and shower facilities in the meadow area. On pitch 5 this time so needed all our levelling blocks and hook up lead only just reached ehu. More noise this time from traffic and trains but not intrusive. Walks were as good as ever as are the local pubs!

The site is ideally located for many Suffolk attractions as well as easy access to walks around Martlesham and Woodbridge. Walks around Martlesham Creek are particularly impressive for wildlife watching. The facilities were good and we really appreciated the extra cleaning and being allocated our own shower and toilet facilities (a real luxury that we will be looking for elsewhere). The TV connection and Wi-fi was also a bonus. There are two pubs and a very good fish and chip shop close.

Would be ok for an overnight stop, but there are a few issues that prevent giving this site a good rating.
1/ Booking is a faf - you have to fill in a form they email you, scan it and then email them back. They don’t reply to emails asking if they got the form, are difficult to contact by phone. To make things harder you have to send deposit and final payment by bank transfer. They don’t accept payment by card!!
2/ Site is close to A12 and railway line so traffic and train noise a real problem.
3/ Showers are good with toilet in shower. However there are only 3 and as a result you can’t use toilets if all showers in use.
4/ Field conected to site used for events (car boot etc).
