€17.20 with ACSI. Very basic and muddy woodland site but perfect location for Bergerac. I wouldnt use the facilities. Expensive for what it is. Too much shade for solar panels so must buy electric. Worth stopping one night so tou can visit the beautiful town. Tourist office does free wine tasting. Skip the boat trip; all you see is trees aling the river.View all reviews by annie2018

Most of these comments are accurate but paint a worse picture than is the case. The pitches are not delineated but have lovely dappled shade. The pitches are mostly fine river silt and would be dreadfully muddy after rain.View all reviews by suewoollard
The location is stunning, right on the river and easy walking distance to beautiful Bergerac. Friendly, helpful staff.
The sanitaries have had a cosmetic upgrade but are in dated buildings and could do with a really good bleaching. The water is nice and hot with great pressure.
We stayed 3 days and enjoyed it, very quirt at night.
The campsite was busy even in September so dont arrive too late.

Sadly I have to update my last review. We came for two nights and stayed for eight it was so lovely. And felt very safe. But sadly on night seven things changed. I won't go into the details but just be very vigilant here. I still stsnd by my previous review as its been lovely here but just be aware of any changing dynamics and secure accordinglyView all reviews by carolineess

Truly superb. I think the security and long stay issues have been fixed since the last reviews. There is a locked gate at the top which stops thru access. We got a pitch in august right on the banks of the dordogne. Booked in for two nights staying 10 and maybe more. Ablutions are basic but very clean. Easy cycle into one of the world's most amazing towns and we took some longer routes out by cycle to local chateaux (and er are not very fit but mainly flat). Manager speaks very good English and is a delight to deal with. Wouldn't come here in wet weather as can imagine would be a mud bath. Excellent value at 20 euros a night with ehu. No twin axles even though pitches are absolutely hugeView all reviews by carolineess

We agree with all previous comments about proximity to Bergerac. However, we found the site muddy, noisy with many dogs and several long term campers working locally. The facilities just adequate but all up steps, showers on top floor. No security on site as locals use it to get to town, including noisy children on bikes. The worst was a domestic incident from long term campers at 3:30am. This site is unlike other municipal sites which are generally good, needs updating.View all reviews by Richardadams

Extremely popular site. Random designation of pitches. Level grassy site on river bank. EHU for each pitch.View all reviews by explorerdora
Clean facilities, but need own toilet roll!
Walk into Bergerac old town within 10 minutes. Local boat trip to be recommended

this site needs a lot of money spent on it, could be a gold mine in this location, toilets well out dated, very messy ground as no grass, the town is worth the visitView all reviews by lapzer

Arrived at 1-30 and reception opened. Extremely popular site but very close to Bergerac for anyone physically mobile. Clean facilities.View all reviews by explorerdora
Rather bizarre and system of go find yourself a pitch. But all are spacious, fairly flat with EHU.

Location is great, easy walk into the town. Facilities are dated but were clean during our stay. However we witnessed 3 people using the drinking water hose to wash out their toilets! There is no hose at the WC dump point and its just a hole so you have to aim well! Faeces noted floating on the concrete where someone must have missed! Muddy pitches and few gravelled areas which is a shame. No security. Alcohol dependency issues in the town noticed, v sad. Wished we had stayed just 1 night as 2 not needed.View all reviews by lesleymaria

Lovely and very busy site on the banks of the Dordogne. Parking seems quite haphazard, but there is a logic to it, honest! Grass pitches (bring levelling blocks) with EHU and a couple of scattered freshwater taps away from the toilet/shower block itself. Excellent location for exploring Bergerac on the opposite bank.View all reviews by strinesian

Stopped for one night ended up staying 2. Perfectly located for Begerac and has expected level of facilities for a municiple site. We caught up on laundry and shopping no problem. Choose your own pitch which are a bit random but all ok. If you can, pitch next to the river for a perfect start to the day. We would use this site again.View all reviews by njbee

We pre-booked and pre-paid 3 nights but fled after one night, losing the fee. Scruffy, smelly and unkempt. Lots of goose poo so be prepared! Only good thing was close to Bergerac.View all reviews by teenoso

Lovely small site right on the bank of the river, in the middle of town. Not your typical site, pitches determined by soace between the big trees as much as anything else, but perfrctly okay. Maybe a little crowded for some, but everyone quiet and chilled. Lots of dog walking along the river.View all reviews by Timmbo
Facilities basic but more than adequate - loo, showers, washing up plus clothes washing machine/dryer. Friendly and helpful staff.
Perfect location for exploring the lovely old medieval town, river is beautiful. We’d stop here again for sure.

This s a nice site and really convenient for Bergerac itself, which is an easy walk or cycle ride ove tfhe bridge. The facilities are all there, hot water and showers good if not a bit tired! Reception are really good and helpfull re local information etc.View all reviews by carpetbagger
A number of pitches near the river but be careful as can be a bit soft at times. All have EHU option worth goin for as a lot of shade so solar panels not so efficent.
In town there is a nice big church and good shops. In the small square by the small church there are a number of good restaurants.
It’s a nice site and area to stay for a number of days, especially on market days.

Dirty site, people walking through and fishing there all day. No security.
All facilities but one loo out of order. Manager said would be fixed next morning, but had apparently already been out of order for 2 days!
Only good thing was closeness to town.
Worst site ever.

I have this as a municipal site, whatever, it was easily the worst value for money of our 6 week journey. Close to the city and we had a nice riverside pitch but it was €16 for two people with no loo seats or paperView all reviews by campingruth

As others have said, great site for closeness to town, but that's about all. We were squeezed in, so didn't get the best pitch but still had to pay €20.20 for it. View of the river was nice and pleasant walk into Bergerac. Just a bit of a tired looking siteView all reviews by janet

Agree with first reviewer. Very convenient for walking into Bergerac. Very lovely view onto the river but shady for Spring visitors. A bonus is a walking path next to the river for dogs. The pitches are grass only and not particularly level. Showers and toilets are unisex, no toilet seats, paper or soap or had drying provided! Showers although well heated, ask you to remove outdoor shoes before entering shower area, of course no one does and the floor is filthy. No bucket and mop provided to clean up either. There is a ground floor shower available for disabled ( the general showers are up a couple of flights of stairs and separate to the shower block. There is wifi but you are only usually offered 2 hours at a time for one device. Black water waste disposal not very good ( see picture). At €15 per night on ACSI rate, I think I would expect a little more.View all reviews by travelleronthew

As stated good for town, about 15 minute walk. All grass and some were soft on our visit, reception did advise us though. Toilets average French standard, showers good, contrary to previous post foot ware was left at the door and they were very clean. A lot of overnighters, mainly Dutch. Reasonable value with ACSI card.View all reviews by captgeoff

Convenient site for visiting Bergerac but that's about it! Had a bit of an "unloved uncared for feel" although nothing wrong with clean showers and toilets. Next to river but not much of a view due to intense tree cover, little sun and little chance of getting a satellite signal. Pitches not clearly marked caused confusion. Our "truck" sat nav kept warning of an unavoidable 3.5 ton weight limit on the road to entrance but there was not a problem at all?View all reviews by trevorf
