Beautiful and well kept site with lots of flowers and trees. Good toilets block with lovely hot water. 2 open air pools with loungers. Nice half hour walk into Charlestown along cliff top. Friendly owners and easy going feel about this site.View all reviews by janepeck
Friendly family site. Quiet in September. Bus stop outside entrance for buses to St Austell and Fowey. Lovely walk along coast into Charlestown. Would visit again.View all reviews by luvxmoor
Good site with very friendly staff. Have 2 designated dog walking fields and it’s a short walk across the golf course to the beach. You can pick up the costal path and walk to Charlestown, fairly easy cycle to St Austell and Eden Project, Par Food Market a short walk away. Lots to do in the areaView all reviews by jfharris
Fairly quiet site (in JUNE) the restaurant was not open during the week. A couple of adventure playgrounds for kids. Free crazy golf (7holes) two swimming pools, heated. A small shop with essentials. Mainly grass pitches. Facilities very clean and tidy. Not to much to do within walking distance. Not really a "view" site. Staff very friendly and helpful. Taxi to Eden project £9.View all reviews by whizzy
This is one of our favourite sites. The staff are as helpful as can be. We went off season so the little onsite restaurant was closed. The 2 swimming pools were wonderful and one was heated to 30 which was a nice relax in the evenings. Just round the corner is Cornwall world which is interesting to wonder round. Walk across the golf course to the beach bar which is beautiful to sit on in the evening and have a burger and a beer.View all reviews by rickbrit
I've never stayed here, but my friends do when they visit and they rate it. Carlyon Bay is one if Cornwall's little secrets. The beach is aproximately 1/4 mile from the centre of the campsite. Originally the beach had a lido, and leisure complex on the northern edge. This was knocked down some years ago, and the plan was to rebuild, but has been put on hold due to Brexit.. Some evidence of previous building work, but the beach is fantastic. Probably the best swimming beach in the UK, but steep shelf, so beware if you have young 'ens or are a weak swimmer.View all reviews by cornishdude
In summer, pop up bars and restaurants arrive. (See "Sams Bar")
Down side is no dogs allowed on beach in summer.
nice quiet site with good pitches, onsite restaurant and pool excellent facilities, britannia inn pub on main road walkable too, a bit pricey but nice for a special meal, and the local market place on same corner was interesting mooch about, went to eden project, well worth visitingView all reviews by filwud
