Stayed one night as passing through, hadnt booked but they were very friendly and gave us two pitches. It is a huge park and not what we would normally book but it was very quiet where we were with nice views over countryside.Toilets and showers were very clean and never busy.Easy bus ride into Dawlsh from just outside campsite. Quite an expensive site at £50.70 for the night plus extra for electricity but we were happy to pay as a last minute decision.View all reviews by Lcee

Stayed for 3 nights in May on AstroTurf Pitch which was by Toilet Block & level. Massive Site Toilets & Showers spotlessly clean .Wasn't too busy as quite early but imagine in Peak Season it would be heaving. Bus Stop on Main road at Entrance to site , footpath to exit the site quite steep ,there are signs for it as the Main Entry/Exit road not suitable to walk for Bus as it can be busy.View all reviews by burge1

We booked 5 nights in the black Friday sale for 67.50 plus metered electric which cost us 8.00 Excellent value although it is very expensive in high season Massive site so would not like when busy Clean facilities block but only one hand dryer and for the 5 days we were there the gents one was not working, we did report it but was not repaired lovely walk to Dawlish Warren Bus stop at the site entrance Would return out of season especially if the deal is on againView all reviews by dfmids

Nice site and good facilities but everything is geared to getting as much money from you as possible. WiFi pool etc. nothing is free. Would consider coming back though.View all reviews by Vw1600

Potentially a great site, good basic price but you pay as you go for the electric. Doggy paradise with enclosed walks and a great country park next door. Shame the shower block was poorly heated and the showers luke warm. This is a commercial enterprise and all the activities are charged. It was February and the outdoor pool (which looks good) was closed and you had to book in advance to go into the indoor pool (disappointing). A great location and we will (reluctantly) go again.View all reviews by Thandy

The Anchor at Cockwood is only a short walk and is a lovely character pub. Good selection of beers in Amelia's and only just over £5 a pint (not too bad). The country park at the end of the site is lovely - wild areas and cultivated wild barley to attract the skylarks etc in the summer. Hardstanding pitches are spacious and the core pricing is good. Children's play area is good and this is a huge site which will have good capacity in the summer.View all reviews by Thandy

Lovely well kept, clean site. Most of the facilities were closed, due to going in November but the site was still very busy, nearly every pitch was taken. Great walks from site and bus stop outside, never used but the buses seemed to go by every half hour according to timetable. We had trouble filling with water as unable to fit hose to water points, normal house tap fitted not outdoor. When we were told our pitch number we were to go never told the motorhome area was on the other side of site, site is on two sides of a road and very large. It also showed no chemical disposal point on this side but asking someone they told us where it was by the shower block, they also found this by accidentView all reviews by lesjury

Not our usual sort of site but it came up at £20pn a day before so we spent Saturday night here. Downside(ish) - electric is purchased online with a minimum top-up of £10 and we only used £4.80!!! Lovely clean site with good shower blocks - some are closed due to the season. Enormous with all types of accommodations. Excellent walk through the woods for the dog to Dawlish Warren and well signposted. We only went to the pub for dinner - and our curries were good - but the complex seemed good. Overall a good place for a 1/2 night visit - although probably great for a whole holiday.View all reviews by Bowerhill1134

Only use these types of site once a year. This site was a dissapointment after reading some of the great reviews. The site is generally good but the whole place is just geared to extract as much money from you as possible, you have to pay extra for just about everything. Swimming pool is good (although unheated), the high ropes course is very good but expensive and you need to book well in advance ( ie before you get there). lots to do for young kids but not a lot for 9 year olds.View all reviews by neilpr

Good points; Childs paradise, lovely woodland walk to Dawlish Warren, bus stop outside, modern facilities, large pitches, staff friendly, dog friendly. Lovely coastal train ride to Torquay. Bad points; Expensive, activities extra cost and pricey, commercial, wifi additional cost and very poor, showers dirty each time we used them, bins over flowing, no soap in toilets. This site is great for young families who have money to burn. To be fair we were there in school holidays so maybe better out of season in terms if bins and showers. We would go again but out of season.View all reviews by lesleymaria
