Large rambling woodland site. Excellent sized pitches on gravel. EHU and tv. Quiet spaced out pitches in small alcoves. Long walk into Kendal.

Tight single lane road in to site. 140 pitches 'scattered' through the woods gives it the feel of a French or Spanish site, where no two pitches are the same. Many will need levelling ramps. EHU points include TV aerial sockets.

Great site in the woods not you usual row after row, each pitch totally diffrant, some by the river some backing on to the woods, GREAT dog walks around the site, but take your leveling ramps as many as you have we only just got our moho level enough but some pitches where far steeper than ours, also it may have been which was the wind was blowing but you can here the M6 or A591 so not exactly quiet

Great site, good facilities with clever provision for covid restrictions. Woodland setting more interesting than the normal site layout.

Very good high standard facilities typical of CMC site. Super pitch in a clearing in forest. Lovely walk beside river. Cycled 10 mins to nearby pub The Strickland Arms. Good food and atmosphere. This site is very handy for the M6.

Lovely site, however motorhomers will feel a little cut off if they don't want to go offsite in their MH.

Like the other comments it really is one of the best CAMC sites. The staff were brilliant. Fish and chip van there every Friday until 7.30pm. Park in Kendal at the Kendal Cricket Club for £1.50 all day and then it's just a 5 min walk into the heart of the town.

Great site set in woodland. Lots of different pitch areas scattered between the trees. Very warm welcome and all necessary information provided. I would advise to take a long TV coax as signal quite poor but booster signal points on each pitch. Lovely river runs alongside the site.Excellent amenities blocks and lots of refuse disposal points. Quiet and peaceful.

Site is about 4 miles from Kendall which you can walk following an old dried up canal. Farm shop nearby sells good food and milk.
