Purpose built Motorhome stop, with about 10 official spaces but room for probably 10 more Motorhomes in the normal parking spaces behind the marked spaces, which we were advised were ok to park in. Official spaces fill up quickly! No toilets/showers. Electric available via meter. Waste disposal via drive over point, & water available. Functional, but not a pretty site, hardstanding, overlooking harbour/lock. €7.70 a night, purchased in machine - make sure you arrive with change

This was originally listed as a wild camping location but is in fact is a proper motorhome stopover location albeit in a mixed car park with 10 large well spaced locations marked out specifically for Motorhomes. There are 4 electric terminals with 4 sockets each 1€/2kwh (a long lead may be required if you are at the far end). There is a drive over service point with a fresh water point (1€) which can be accessed without paying for parking so ideal if you are wildcamping and just need a service.
The site is overlooking the port where the Van Harinxmakanaal enters the Waddenzee and opposite the town of Harlingen one of the Eleven Towns on the "Elfsteden Route" a tourist route designed specifically for Motorhomes. >>more info here<<
