Great location, 10-15 minutes walking distance to the centre. Yes, there is a covid testing centre at the rear of car park, but it posed no problems (stayed here twice in the last month and still haven't seen anyone there). Quiet and felt very safe. Only downside the Rodee cafe and toilets were closed.View all reviews by vbs1

Lovely place. Parked down by the riverside bit of noise but nothing excessive. Very handy for town centre and a walk to the boats. Bit confused about the pricing 1400 thursday till 1100 friday £13 have been told after 7 am a second day charge applies. So i payed £8 1400 till 0700 and £5 from 0700 too 1100. So if you go over 2 seperate days there is no such thing as 24 hoursView all reviews by Macca1954

A word of warning, part of the car park has been sectioned off for a Covid 19 walk in testing site. While there is still plenty of parking spaces this shouldn’t be a problem but I just wanted people to be aware in case this is an issue for anyone.
As others have said ideal location for visiting Chester.
We arrived about 2pm and left at 10am - cost £13. The prices are a bit confusing as others have said.

Great stopover location. Arrived late and paid c.£6 leaving at 11.30am the next day (there are two ticket machines, don’t take from the ‘oversized vehicles’ one). Loads of places but most need chocs. Probably about 12 other vans there that night. Right on the river so walks in both directions.View all reviews by CarolMJ

Had to use our levelling ramps as all the level pitches were taken but had a 5 minute walk in tomthe town center along the old citywall for a bite to eat and a couple of pints before a lovelynundisturbed nights sleep.
Will definitley be returning to use this one again.

Great stopover, ideal to explore Chester only 5 minute walk to centre. Plenty of other overnighters there. Pubs and restaurants along riverside. Cafe and toilets not open at present owing to C19 but public toilets a short walk along riverside. I mistakenly pressed the high button and was charged £15 from 16:00 till 10:30 the following morning but felt it was worth that because of the location and bank holiday Sunday. Recommend booking for restaurant prior to arrival as Chester is very busy with limited reduced sittings. Great castle view.View all reviews by RubySmith2020

arrived late afternoon in July. 5 to 6 other vans overnight. Not clear where motorhomes should park but as empty we used the coach bays along with other units. No coaches or lorries. Some parked along river bank.View all reviews by jimali
a bit of traffic noise but an undisturbed night. Easy walk into town and along river
interestingly we noticed rats wondering about in the nearby hedgerow.
the cafe and toilets are currently (covid) closed.

We stayed here for 1 Saturday night in July 2020. The car park only has a few flat spaces, others need blocks. The site itself was quiet, but some traffic noise from the road that runs above and behind the site. We didn't heed the warning to take a ticket from the lower ticket dispenser on entry so paid £5 more than we needed to. It is a lovely short walk into Chester along the river, well used by joggers and cyclists. Suitable for dogs as walks nearby.View all reviews by BuddyandCo

Great place to stay to visit Chester which is interesting. Lots to wander and see and spoilt for choice with restaurants, cafes, bars and an evening stroll around the city wall. Great carpark but beware that it does get very busy during the day so even small cars struggle to find a spot. I arrived around 3.30pm and found it no problem to find a nice spot looking over to the river Dee. It was a very quiet place which is surprising and would stay here again. Nice walk in to the city centre as well.View all reviews by vance

Stay here frequently as I work in the area and opt for the MoHo as opposed to hotels . Good location for City Center - 5 min walk away. Plenty of restaurants and shops that are dog friendly. Whilst there are no facilities, cafe is open 8-5 and can use toilets. Generally pretty quiet. Make sure to take a ticket from the bottom machine otherwise coach charges apply. Dogs can be exercised on the racecourse across the road. There is an annual fair (May) and the majority of the car park is closed off and be aware if the restrictions in the coach area - they will charge you for using the empty soace so stick to the car parking area.View all reviews by mcape

Would have loved to stay here going on past reviews. However as we found to our disappointment, avoid during 1st - 13th May this year and probably sometime during the first 2 weeks of May any other year as the car park is taken over by a massive fairground! Seemed like a very good location though. Ah well maybe try again later in the yearView all reviews by syd388

Great place to stop to visit Chester etc. New barriers and machines. No 'idiots' around as you need to take a ticket to raise the barrier. Felt secure and safe. Parking near the bottom is more level or just level with ramps. Café closed but toilets still open. Overall a decent place to stay. Didn't find many 'dog friendly' pubs around, but there are a few.View all reviews by richb600

A good place to park up to visit Chester and/or the Chester races which are just across the road. Be aware that if you take a ticket from the tall dispenser you will be charged as a coach, so make sure you take from the lower (car) dispenser. Great location to visit Chester, some nice walks along the river, lovely restaurants and shops, lots to see and do. Always found a spot to park, in summer time there could be attractions in the car park ie Fair Ground as we visited last year and found it was closed. Might be worth enquiring first particularly bank holidays etc, be aware if you overhang the parking bay and you do not purchase two tickets, you will be booked. There are toilet facilities in the old cafe that are opened by a member of the council approx 9-5pm. If you arrive before 5 o'clock you will need to purchase a ticket for the minimum charge which I think is £4.00 and then £1.50 for overnight stays.View all reviews by yeo1
