Great location, plenty of space in the car park. Other spaces in the nearby vacinity if the car park is full. Really welcoming, great food and very dog friendly. No mobile signal at all, but good wifi in the pub.
Definitely on the list to do again.

A good overnight stop, lovely views of the viaduct and moors, good sized car park with space for about 6 vans depending on how many cars in carpark. Very friendly staff, had a lovely meal, very generous portions moderately priced. Good covid measures in place. Nice real fire in evening.Fresh water available no elsan or rubbish facilties but 2 portaloos in carpark. Close to road but quiet overnight except for occasional cars going over cattle grid a bit noisy but didnt disturb. Would stay again.

Welcoming staff and a great pub. Homemade food - lamb shank and steak pie with shortcrust pastry - large portions and good value. Good selection of beer too.
Only down side is cattle grid on road outside car park, it sounds like a machine gun when hgv’s go over it!
Recommended.

Totally agree with pipsmum. Owner has tidied up and extended the car park. This can get muddy when wet. Numerous portaloos in the car park. If you plan to eat be sure to book a table nice and early. No tv, phone (EE, O2) or WiFi signal (Vodaphone)

The Station Inn is a great place for a stopover. Free to park, plenty of very clean portaloos open 24 hrs, fresh drinking water and a toilet waste . What more could you want - oh, nearly forgot, good beer and wines and excellent hearty pub grub. I can recommend the lamb shank. A very friendly welcome and dog friendly too. Ring to book before turning up though as we visited on a Thursday and they were full for dining.
There was a bit of road noise from vehicles going over the cattle grid all night, can't believe this is such a busy road throughout the night, but small price to pay when everything else is spot on.

First time at a pub stop and wow! What a fabulous place !
Got there at 12 noon to find 3 other units already parked up. By 5 the car park was full and had 16 units in.
Had to pre book a table for friday and saturday for a lovely meal all the staff were lovely.
Fresh water tap available and also an elsen point.
Perfect position for walks and that view was absolutely perfect!
We will be back !

what a lovely place for a stopover, the views are stunning. The staff in the pub were very helpful, and our meal was excellent. We are staying in the car park overnight.
There is porta loo and a fresh water tap, and a chemical toilet disposal point.
We enjoyed a nice gentle stroll th the viaduct and back.
We'll be back another day.

A great view from the pub car park of the viaduct! Due to eat out to help out the restaurant is busy. We did phone in advance and they said they would try to fit us in after 8. Luckily the pub did take out ale, so a couple of pints in the van before going in for a meal! Food was great and it is dog friendly in there too.

Stayed here for one night whilst doing a could of the Dale's walks, Whernside on one day then Ingleborough the next. Lockdown restrictions just been lifted, the pub is open and more than happy for stopovers, although booking your meal there is advisable due to restrictions on numbers in the pub. We called beforehand to check they were even open, so booked our meal at the same time. The food is fantastic can recommend the steak and ale pie! There is even a portaloo in the car park which I think is in place as toilets inside are restricted to one at a time, but also makes it handy for stopping over.
Whernside can be walked directly from the pub. Definitely recommend this pub

Excellent place to stay, 3 peaks and Ingleton all close by and worth a visit. Pub was friendly and inviting, we booked a meal and it was lovely. Nice beer garden and some tables at the front where you can sit and watch the world go by. By 6pm there were 7 vans on site so you may need to get there early...

Great stopover. Does get busy with MHs so is a bit of a lottery as to wether you will get a space but a warm welcome, great walking from your door and lovely food! Some parking on roadside if carpark full and some hookups at Hill Inn jist down road if full.
We didnt need any facilities so cant comment on that but loved the meal and welcome we had in the pub.

I have passed by many times and have always wanted to stopover.
I finally stayed overnight just before Christmas, on arrival I was made to feel welcome, by the friendly staff. Plenty of room in the car park I enjoyed a beer or two and a meal.
I look forward too making a return visit soon.

Great stay at the Station Inn. All staff were so welcoming and friendly. Staying in the car park was no issue. Had a fantastic meal in front of the wood fire. Top class home made meal and dessert. Sublime views of the Ribblehead Viaduct. No expectation to leave early in the morning. Highly recommend.

Well.. keen readers will note that when I last visited in Oct 18 I vowed never to return. Since then, the previous management have left, so we decided to try it again. We couldn't stay overnight as the car park and all surrounding spots were already taken.. that was a good sign! We had a meal though and it was SUPERB. The food was excellent, all staff were polite, friendly and helpful. To paraphrase Arnie, we'll be back!

Theyve refurbished it and lost the character, but seem to have retained some original smoke stained paintwork, making it seem sterile yet grubby. The food was a disappointment. Way too much cheese on the garlic mushrooms and the wife's roast beef dinner was inedible due to being smothered in peppercorns. The lasagne was unusual in that it had NO pasta sheets in it! Just a sloppy mess of cheese, meat sauce and bits of tomato. The staff were rude and dismissive when we commented (apart from the 12 year old server.. I kid you not) so we didn't stay the night and won't be returning.

Cold wet evening temperatures was as near to freezing as you could get, awful journey from the midlands, and then arrival at the station inn, excellent welcome, good food full belly, and some nice beer, The journey forgotten.

Next morning discussing with wife how do we get to the Viaduct, looking at the map looked further away than anticipated, opened the blinds !! well blow me down there it was in its full glory.

Cant wait to re visit

Stopped here numerous times. No phone signal or wifi but you get great food, beer and a nice level car park (please ask permission to stay first, it's called being polite). People pitch tents the other side of the wall so if you need to you can. Use of toilets during opening hours is fine. Fantastic views and walks/mountain bike rides on the doorstep.

Wild camping with benefits.
Free parking in the lap of the gods. Our first trip out in our self build project. The station inn was to be our first real motor home experience. With newbie nerves and lots of excitement we arrived. The car park is shale but solid. Lots of spaces.Motor homes can park in the pub car park to the rear which is quite level, When we stayed there were just a couple of motor homes. so plenty of space. To enjoy the great views and rugged terrain that surrounds this hidden gem

Station Inn pub, friendly atmosphere,Good crack, dog friendly.Great beer and awesome mixed grill.
Stunning views of Ribble head viaduct, and some very nice walks.
There is also free camping in the field at the back of the pub, popular with hikers.

Returned again.
The pub staff are great, food even better than last time. This mornings sun rise was just awesome.
Some motor homes just park and dont use the pub. The owners give free use of the car park. If people dont use the pub I am sure this will be a wild camping experience that could disappear.
As newbies we have used this pub to get used to our motor home whilst having a great location to visit and view. Very safe and extremely quiet.
