Great location, close to town, small camping site right on the river. Caretaker lovely lady and very helpful. Toilet and showers very clean, a small walk from the campsite. Pub in town looks right across from campsite with nice grounds. Nice and quiet little spot!View all reviews by jo317
OMG fabulous location , matched by the fabulous Cheryl (site staff) nothing too much trouble so helpful and always keeping busy very clean toilet cabin with showers tap water exceptionally hot ,when it rains there is quite abit of water but guess what you are within touching distance from the river so expect this to be the case just adds to the experience ,so pack wellies or flip flops ,lovely village with everything you could need best place we have stayed ,in Europe,A1 LOCATION AND RECEPTIONView all reviews by mattcush
Lovely place to stay. You can not beat the position of it. Lovely owner, lovely swans, lovely pint over the river side pub. Very nice will be coming back againView all reviews by blueybug
We have stayed here a few times. Its a great place to stay and you park just a few feet from the waters edge. You can spend hours watching the boats go up and down the river. Its just a short walk across the road bridge to the town, where there are numerous fish and chip shops as you would expect. There is also a lovely Indian restaurant where we had a lovely meal. There is a pub across the other side of the river which can get abit lively in the summer, but that just adds to the atmosphere.View all reviews by jo662
We would highly recommend staying here,as we will as much as possible.
We stayed Aug 2015, A cracking little spot, just big enough for 3-5 vans overlooking a busy stretch of the river. If you like it busy with a veiw (things to see & watch) this is perfect. Its possible to over-hear conversations of people in the pub on the oposite bank and motors of the boats going up & down the river so don't expect silence. Other than that, it's a nice little spot if you like beer, fish & chips & shopping, or just chilling, watching the boats go by.View all reviews by izzy
This site is an excellent little haven. It is right on the edge of the Norfolk Broads and close to all facilities in Wroxham. The pub across the water - Via the road bridge is a great way to spend the evening before retiring to the comfort of the MH.View all reviews by jonpreston
This Motorhome Aire is more about location rather than about facilities. It is a quiet and pleasant riverside location, with a lovely view and immediate access to the town of Wroxham. There is a very nice Fish Restaurant at the end of the lane, on your right as you drive in. Over the bridge, and turn right brings you down to a hotel by the river, which does a daily carvery. Facilities on this site are basic, but clean, and although the Elsan point is a bit primitive, it works. Be aware of droppings from the numerous geese and ducks, which can be messy underfoot, however, it does give a touch of authenticity to the site. lolView all reviews by jockandrita
And last, but certainly by no means least, is the very friendly welcome from the onsite caretaker, the lovely Cheryl. If she is not immediately about upon arrival, using the mobile number on the listing, will soon have her coming across to meet you.
Jock & Rita.
P.S. A Short drive away, is the former RAF Neatishead, which is now home to a fantastic museum.
Took a punt on this spot as there was very little detail available on the internet other than a phone number and single picture. Rang the owner Cheryl, and was pleasantly surprised that there were spaces available for a bank holiday weekend. The site is at a unused Marina and boat building yard that Cheryl has now opened up to motorhome parking. The site is easy enough to find, if approaching from Norwich, turn left just before the bridge in Wroxham and drive along the track and park facing the rivers edge. Cheryl (who lives on site in a boat house) will come to meet you and explain the facilities.View all reviews by admin
There is a separate men's and ladies toilet and shower block with key code entry that is also used by the boats in the Marina. Showers require 3 x 20p coins (didn't use it so can't comment on temp and time, but they looked clean enough). The shower block is 100 meters or so away over the humb backed bridge where there is also a chemical disposal point. There is no tap by the disposal point however for flushing the cassette. Near the pitches there is a single water tap but no drive over drain or electric hook up. There are plenty of wifi opportunities with a strong 'BT with Fon' signal and with a booster you should be able to pick free wifi from the pub opposite or from the Mc Donald's in the village. 3G mobile data reception however is poor on vodafone.
The big plus point for the site though is the location. You park right on the edge of the River Bure in the middle of Wroxham village opposite a mooring point where you can watch the broads cruisers performing their manoeuvres and the day boats cruising up and down and feed the various ducks, geese and swans.
In the village, there are plenty of pubs, restuarants and shops (most of the shops appear to belong to "Roy"!) plus an unusual amount of Fish and Chip shops. You can also hire all manner of boats or take a river cruise along the Broads. There is also a light gauge steam railway with trips up to Aylsham, so plenty to see and do in the immediate area.
