We the Hymer Owners Group stayed here for up to 4 nights, 17 vans all in a row.View all reviews by pvw10
We had a great time, no problems at all and the owner looked after us well.
Fantastic walks, lots to see and do and a beautiful village.
Yes the pitches are narrow and the tents seemed to get crammed it but all had a good time.
Showers wernt good though at 50p or 20p

Great Location but very miserable and grumpy owners. Feels like a caravan (top field) motorhome/tent divide with facilities for the latter pretty average but better up top. Worth a stop. Nice cycle to Sedbergh where the locals were not living up to miserable Yorkshire stereotype!View all reviews by woody92

Some of the reviews on this page are a little out of date: we visited in March 2020 amd things have moved on.View all reviews by jeffm
There are hardstanding pitches in the upper field and these have recently been extended. However, it is quite steep and you will need levelling ramps. Hardstanding pitches have now been added to the lower field, around 6 so far and i believe there are plans to add more. The site isnt very secure, with a simple, unlocked gate separating it from a road
Dent is a beautiful village with two great pubs. The walking and cycling in the area are both excellent.

Fabulous location. Campsite in winter months, though, not good for motorhomes. 'Certificated' pitches over the road closed. Available then is a badly sloping grass area with so described hard-standing pitches. Apparently there's this netting stuff below surface. Still, it's grass with attendant mud and skidding fun trying to use chocks to get level. Hook-ups long way behind long-staying caravans.View all reviews by timsinc

Really nice, welcoming site a short stroll from village centre, with shop, couple of pubs and church. Follow the walk up Flintergill on the map provided on arrival (pics), and visit the heritage centre next to the camp (nice coffee!).View all reviews by nicklaura

Absolutley lovely Location. Site is a short walk from Village centre with 2 Pubs, Coffee Shop & village store.View all reviews by t4guy
I found the lower field to be the better pitches although this does involve a Walk to the main shower block.
20p for Shower, a little annoying but not a bank breaker.
Site Manager has to be the highlight for me, she was Comedy Gold once you cone to terms with her “Direct” approach.
£22.50 per night for 2 adults in Large Campervan with Hook up, not bad value

Not a review, just in reply to emc33 comment about motorhomes being in the village car park - they're not being slept in, they belong to residents of the village and are parked up there with a residents parking pass. I believe they are quite strict on motor homes not being slept in in the car park.View all reviews by littleolme

Expensive site, which charges 20p for a shower as well. In a nice location, with pubs and cafes nearby. Has some excellent walks and cycle rides straight from the site.View all reviews by davidf

Not the cheapest site, but extremely clean, tidy and well presented. Well stocked shop and excellent facilities on site. Very convenient location on the edge of the village which is picturesque and has great pubs. Good location for walking. The site's breakfast baps are amazing and should not be missed.View all reviews by gandallf

Noisy site and expensive. Beautiful views, Very expensive - which may explain why there were a couple of motorhomes in the carpark 2 doors down - although carpark sign said no overnighters. 20p slot machine to pay for showers.View all reviews by emc33
