The Sportsman Pub is only minutes away from our grandson. There are walks available, one 4 mile round walk or lots of other footpaths. Dogs can be let off. It is free to stay, facilities available when pub is open, we are very self sufficient with our set up. Very welcoming atmosphere and great Sunday lunch. Good choice of drinks and dog friendly (we have 3). Pub facilities 9/10.View all reviews by lindyd

Pub lists a circular 4 mile walk on their website which was lovely.
Pub is great, friendly service and really good food.
Good pub but a bit out of the way, A few different local brews on offer. Stopped 1 night and there were no facilities at all ,although the landlady did say if prearranged they could supply water. Staff were very cheerful and very well organised, We had a very good Sunday lunch there and for a country pub it was very busy so worth booking in advance.View all reviews by rebbyvid

A lovely pub in a quite area. They have a large overflow carpark where motorhomes can stop. Its part of Brit Stops. Food was good and reasonably priced. Friendly staff. No services. Wifi did not work when we were there.View all reviews by Ferdie101
