Well tended site, friendly welcome. Had a level pitch but several were quite sloping, probably too much for motorhomes, so choose carefully. Some pitches were 'self-levelling' - scoop-shaped so a motorhome can find level easily (see picture). Perfectly placed for the Lost Gardens and you get a discount if staying on the site. We had got tickets online at full price, but the friendly staff at the gardens ticket office kindly refunded the discount. New amenities block not finished at time of visitView all reviews by simonp
Excellent site for visiting The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Due to covid the new contemporary facilities block is incomplete at the moment (Mid Sept 2020)View all reviews by beetlewasher
Lovely site & location for Heligan Gardens, discount voucher given for the gardens which made it great value at £36.20 for 2 nights.View all reviews by pcoopers
A clean and tidy site, which is moderately priced. The shower block is good and is kept warm. I particularly like the motorhome pitches, which are ramped up.View all reviews by lonicera
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are adjacent and it’s possible to buy a discounted ticket from the site’s reception.
All in all this is definitely one of the better sites.
We spent two nights here with our two kids and dog. The staff were wonderfully friendly. Even the cat in reception was happy to see us. The views from some of the hard standings and other pitches were stunning. Including sea views.View all reviews by NickGG
This time of year it’s lovley and quiet. As it’s getting close to their winter break it meant the shop wasn’t restocking so the goods they had were just the must needs.
The facilities were clean and the shower blocks were warm.
It’s a lovley 45min walk to Mevigissey. There is a car park for motorhomes down there. A taxi costs £10 one way. There are some great restaurants and pubs.
We only live an hour away so we’ll be back
Very nice place. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Reception has a small shop that stocks essentials. We had a lovely view down the valley. Only downside was the noise from the kids (still school holidays when we went) Showers are a little small but clean. There are some very good walks direct from the site, which the dog loved.View all reviews by milktray2000
Very pleasant site, the Lost Gardens are a 5 minute walk through a gate, and so much easier to stay here to enjoy a full day walking round the gardens. Staff very helpful in reception, shame it closes too early. Facilities a little dated, probably due a refresh.View all reviews by portafold
We have stayed on this site on several occasions; mainly to visit the next door The Lost Gardens of Heligan. So a favourite of ours. Pitches are either grass of hardstanding with a central MHSP, black/grey water disposal points and fresh water. Fixed chalets are also available. The reception is at the entrance and also contains a shop and visitor guides. Always a warm and friendly welcome from the staff. The website gives all the necessary information and includes a booking feature that enables you to pick your pitch in advance. The adjacent bus stop provides a service to Mevagissy one way and as far as Charleston and Fowey the other. All well worth a visit. There is a cafe/restuarant and farm shop next door at the Lost Gardens.View all reviews by mirvine48
