Bottom carpark. Put your tenner into the shed and hey presto a fantastic place to spend the eve. Flat, quiet, wonderful view and a friendly harbour man.View all reviews by weezer76
Great little harbour, nice cafe, good food. Overnight stops definitely allowed - post £10 and vehicle reg through harbour masters shed door and all is ok.View all reviews by Toppers
Toilets and showers in the harbour (locked at 21:00).
Great spot. Worth the £10 fee. And nice hot shower in the gents loo just up the hill too!View all reviews by scoofer
Fantastic spot only 4 miles off the A1. Plenty of space beside harbour master's hut. Honesty box for £10 worth every penny for the view and ambience.View all reviews by IMKC
A beautiful place to stay. We stopped in the lower car park fantastic view out to seaView all reviews by gtandft
At the far end of the upper car park there is a small road past the Harbour masters hut down leading down to the sea wall. There is a charge of £10 towards the upkeep of the harbor. Worth every penny.
A small word of warning it’s a steep uphill climb back to the main road we had some wheel spin on dry tarmac making the uphill turn. Could be tricky in the wet. Our weight 3800 Kg Ducato van 7.3 meters long.
Turned up here today 28/06/2018, definitely no overnighting allowed, I even mad a trip to get here and it turned out to be a waste of time, nice little harbour.View all reviews by twitch
I don't know where the previous poster was, but overnighting is definitely allowed... just post your £10 through the hole in the harbourmaster's shed along with your vehicle registration number and hey presto, in the morning you get a receipt!View all reviews by raskye
Excellent spot right on the harbour very friendly harbour master most welcoming charges £10 for an overnight would certainly use this stop againView all reviews by v83500
Stayed here last night - great place & very quiet. Just to add to the other comments, it's a pay & display car park during the day but there's a tiny harbourmaster's hut with a faded notice on the door saying campers can park overnight 8pm-8am & must be away by 10am. There's a slot in the door to push your tenner through with your reg. no. It goes towards harbour upkeep, not to the council so please don't do a runner or the facility will be withdrawn :)View all reviews by kentom
7m is about the limit for parking spaces
Great stop over on our way up north, nice and quiet apart from the gulls. Didn't have time to look around much as arrived in darkness and left early. Would advise packing up early as car park quickly fills with divers in the morning! Had a chat with the harbour master, they are considering stopping motorhomers at weekends due to divers and may start locking the car park altogether due to people leaving without paying.View all reviews by katenut
Superb spot but anxious the old girl will make it back up the steep hill. As suggested we have left donation in the marine reserve box by information centre. Only company is the seagulls and gentle lapping tide.View all reviews by kim4008
Spoke to harbour master although he stated not actively encouraging loads of motorhomes they are happy for 3 or 4 to overnight at a cost of £10. There are toilets and showers but there is a cost, 30p to use loo not sure how much shower is. To park during day cost £1.00 an hour. Water is available for filling up.View all reviews by nora1wright
