a great stopover.View all reviews by sarahantrobus
very quiet even on a fri night, lovely view over lake
lovely sunrise in the morning over the hills.
we parked along bush line, others parked longways along parking bays, locals not happy in morning as taking up 3 or 4 spaces.
please consider or it may get stopped
We have stayed at loads of car parks and laybys this year and been mostly happy with them, but this one was bad. The location and car park is great but the boy racers/dealers that used the place at night made it tough going. Last left about 4am and pipped their horn about a dozen times to ensure the 2 MHs were left in no doubt. Place was non stop music and revved engines from 9pm. Such a shame.View all reviews by sopworth
Great location with plenty of walking for the dog. RSPB reserve along the road for those interested and it's right on the edge of the small town of Lochwinnoch.View all reviews by Synchronicity
Would be an ideal location for a proper site, is fantastic as a free stopover.
As others have mentioned, park along the greenery and please don't try to empty your toilet cassette in the toilet.
Lovely quiet stop over. Or if you have more time theres a 9 mile walk atound the loch. Visitor centre which has a cafe.View all reviews by HectorandWally
Toilets open during day notices requesting you not to empty your loo there.
No other facilities
Tarmac slightly sloping
We’re7.8 m so had to park crossways over several bays which may make you unpopular when busy if there are no other spaces. Very quiet when we were there. Lots of ducks and swans

Nice spot on the shore of a loch in a large car park.
The toilets are closed between 4.15pm and 9.15am at this time of year (september) and the cafe is open from 10am to 4?
There are several waste bins and a recycling bin.
Short walk into Lochwinnoch, shops, pub, restaurant.
good dog walking along the loch and marked trails of varying lengths. There is an RSPB Reserve on the opposite shore.
Rather weirdly a group of cars turned up after dark and parked up, lights on, engines running, for a couple hours. We didn't feel inclined to investigate too closely!
Highly recommend nearby Loch House restaurant, great service great food, large car park but can get busy Friday Saturday evening's and Sunday lunch time. beautiful sunset's over the Loch. No play or child areas in or outside the Restaurant, large paved patio overlooking the Loch, fantastic menu and weeklong carvery. https://thelochhouse.com/View all reviews by cameronoakes
Decent place to stopover, peace and quiet during the night, stunning views, plenty space to park. Lamppost from the cafe makes it bright enough to stay safe and doesn’t looks like local kids coming here for evening “adventures”View all reviews by comanch84
I definitely recommend it for night or more.
Nice quite site, for a Sunday evening. 4G signal on Three at 60mb+.View all reviews by teejay1
This is such a lovely stopover - great views over the loch. Can be very busy during the day with visitors and dog walkers but quietens down after 8pm and we had a lovely quiet peaceful nightView all reviews by didleyhulz
There are a cafe and toilets which are available during visitor centre opening times - also an outside tap located on the front of the toilet block.
Some nice walks and cycle rides nearby.
Nice free stopover. Advised to park on the left between the white markers where you can either reverse into some low (but safe) undergrowth or along four car park spaces. Nice views overlooking the loch.View all reviews by WanderWebb
Good size car park with a cafe and public toilets, both open during the season until 4.30pm. Beatuiful views of the loch and walks shown on a map board. Quiet overnight. Four vans here tonight.View all reviews by radioham
Stayed over night. Lovely view. Quite nightView all reviews by irishwales
Can be busy during the daytime in summer and at weekends. RSPB Lochwinnoch close by. Good for boating and sailing (not power boats). Good cafe, WC, and souvenir shop open until 5pm.View all reviews by keithhep
