The Poachers Barn is situated in the peaceful village of Osgodby, only 10 minutes away from the town centre of Scarborough, a beautiful seaside resort on the Yorkshire Coast. The pub and restaurant was relaunched in 2012 after a refurbishment, providing a good selection of real ales on tap and great pub food served all day, every day.

As a family-friendly pub we provide a lovely outside seating area, enclosed beer garden and Children's play area. We also provide disabled access and facilities, on-site baby changing facilities, WIFI for accessing the Internet and dogs are welcome in the bar area and beer garden.

They have 3 parking spaces set aside for campervans and medium size motorhomes. They do not charge but do hope you will use the pub for a drink or food and I always do.

After spending the day at Scarborough we decided to go to the Poachers Barn to park up, stay overnight and have a meal, as their website pictures looked lovely. The large car park to the side was very overgrown with trees which cut out 2 spaces due to height of motorhome. Another 2 spaces we couldn't fit into due to shrubs/trees overtaking the spaces, the bins were in spaces also. It had a very unkept feel around the place so we pulled away. I have to state we did not go inside the pub so cannot comment on the inside. I would say it is a lot further than 10mins from Scarborough on foot. I don't like leaving negative reviews but if I had known it was like this I would not have gone, some people may not be bothered, but just wanted to put my view there for others, go see for yourself but have a backup plan. Unfortunately this review page does not allow to NOT rate without numbers and I would have preferred not to, due to not using their facilities as I think that is unfair on the pub, so ignore the numbers.
