Lovley spot. Stayed 2 nights. Mostly gravel beach. Small sandy area on Ferry Road. Narrow road access but no problem with our Fiat Ducato 7m motor home. Sea comes in and out quick. Quite busy to park and lucky to have found a spot on the side of the road. Toilet block near car park is very clean and has warm water.View all reviews by angelawhittam
Got a perfect ‘10’, for our overnight stay. Weather was good too. Quiet, great view, and toilets close by.View all reviews by GeoffBC
Had a great overnight stay watching the boats and the sunset. Be prepared for the sand as there is no clear concrete between camper and side of verge but nothing that can’t be cleaned up!View all reviews by JodieB
About 10 vans camping on a hot bank holiday weekend. Really quiet when everyone had settled down.
Great view three vans there tonight going on to Sutton Heath loads of choiced.View all reviews by D4n1y1
Stunning place, what a gem, arrived at around 2pm, small amount of cars parked up, no signs to say you couldn't park overnight, also no signage on the quay at the end of the road either.View all reviews by elton5009
Great for dog walks, public toilets were close due to time of year though.
Looks like there are holiday let's along the road, although only a few cars there overnight, presume busy in summer!
Definitely recommend, be careful on the way in as the roads are tight, you can turn around at the quay also if you want to face opposite direction.
Ferry Road runs along the estuary to Bawdsey Quay which is a dead end. There are 9 houses raised up facing the estuary, there is van+ width between the road and the beach wall with fantastic view over the river and tied up boats. Very quiet night as it is a no through road. There is no overnighting on the Quay itself and no overnighting in the picnic area at the end of the houses, 7'6" barrier too . Toilets in picnic area currently closed due to services issues but portaloos in place.View all reviews by durham
What a gem of a stop! My first ever stopover in a van, This place is so picturesque and quiet. 3 other vans stayed overnight too. Toilets in picnic area currently closed due to services issues but portaloos in place. I'll be back again soon when the foot ferry is open.View all reviews by ChrisMac999
