Flat, tarmaced, large but very busy car park. Suggest arrive before the evening rush to ensure getting a space. Large but charming Camra Pub which was very busy and booking a table was essential for our Friday night in February. Good value, delicious, pub grub with large portions. Staff were extremely efficient and good management was very evident in all departments. Would definately stay and eat here againView all reviews by StickyBiscuit1
Great stopover - food was delicious and great choice of real ales. Very welcoming staff and really handy for Highbridge as Harry was booked in for 8.30 the next morning. Dog was welcome too.View all reviews by adiel
Very popular C17th pub that serves tasty and reasonably priced food and real ales. Book ahead if you want a table as it does get busy. Lovely owners and very friendly staff who ask that you have a drink if you stay over in the car park. Convenient for the motorway. Exit M5 at junction 22 and travel southbound on the A38 for a few miles through Highbridge and onto West Huntspill. The crossways Inn and the car park is on your left.View all reviews by 16270
Phoned ahead, only time available to dine was 6:30pm. Arrived at 3pm, managed to get our 8m tag axle tucked into back of the car park but car park got very busy around 5pm, wouldn't have got in had we arrived later. Nice enough pub, very busy in the hot weather. Food ok (frozen chips are always a no for me), not the best but filled a gap and reasonably priced. Rear of car park seems to be used as a taxi rank by a local company, taxi's returning to park during early hours, adjacent to busy roadView all reviews by kaytutt
Stayed overnight after phoning ahead.landlady asked if we wanted to book a table but were under no pressure. We booked and glad we did as the restaurant was full, as the food was excellent and reasonably priced.Camra pub of the year so a good selection of real ales.Car park was full but as we were early we parked in the rear. Road traffic was quiet after 7pm and didn't pick up again until 8am the next morning. Would definitely stay againView all reviews by petals
Lovely overnight stop. Pub is a member of Brit Stops but don't know how keen they are to make sure you're a member before allowing you to stop. Delicious food and CAMRA winner for beer fans. Very convenient for us as calling at West Country MotorhomesView all reviews by HectorandWally
Stayed overnight at this great location. Good for travelling up or down M5. Arrived around 5pm and managed to park at far end of car park. Car park was busy later. Reasonable quiet overnight with a little road noise. Pub landlord very welcoming. Some good ales. Didnt eat in pub but seemed busy with reserved tables. CAMRA Somerset pub of the year.View all reviews by normanb9
On arrival the host was very welcoming and really friendly. I was staying overnight in my Motorhome on the car park and was just told to find a spot. So relaxed.View all reviews by peterswift
I returned at 18.30 to eat and as I am Gluten Free I chose the fish pie option with season vegetables. The meal was excellent and and would choose that again without hesitation.
The service and friendliness of the staff was excellent. In fact the whole atmosphere of the Inn was very friendly.
I highly recommend the Crossways Inn witho
Stayed here last night after visiting Highbridge Motorhomes a couple of miles away. The landlord was very friendly and accommodating when I called a few days earlier to check it was ok for 2 vans to stay overnight. We went into the pub where our table was reserved for us. There was a very welcoming atmosphere, the food was fantastic at reasonable prices. Not skimpy with portions either. For real ale fans it's a CAMRA pub of the year 2017. All in all a little gem of a find. We will definitely returnView all reviews by pauline052243
