What a great place. We had spent the day at Beamish and arrived at 5.30. Busy car park we were the only Motorhome there. Had a great meal. Hubby had a massive mixed grill for £10. We had breakfast which was also good. They prefer not to have Motorhomes there during the day as it is a busy pub. A large Motorhome would struggle to get parked.

Excellent pub stopper, the best mixed grill in the country, landlord & landlady were really friendly and helpful. Only a few yards from the entrance to “Beamish Museum”

We had a very warm welcome, a good meal (mixed grill) and spend a very quiet night on the car park. I recommend this site

Stayed overnight here and what can I say? Well, will definitely be back! The staff were more than friendly and helpful, even moving a car so we could get parked easier! The food was tremendous. I had a mixed grill which was to die for and my other half had a nacho chicken breast which she couldn't finish there was so much. Value for money? Very much so!

Parked up at Shepherd & Shepherdess. Car park was empty. Went in to ask about staying the night & if I could have a couple of meals & drinks later on & breakfast the next morning only to be told that they would be busy enough without campervans taking up car parking space and they would rather motorhomes didn't visit. Then she added that maybe Mon. or Tues. would be okay when they weren't busy. We left & spent our money elsewhere. (The 1 large space in the corner is for motorcycles only)

Good stop over very near Beamish museum. Smallish parking bays with one dedicated motorhome bay in corner of car park but would be difficult to get into if cars parked in bays alongside at right angles. See photo. Nice people, good value bar meals, children’s play are, dog walking.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night. Car park very busy when we got there late afternoon and probably a problem for a large MH, (ours is X long citroen relay van) but many spaces after @ 8pm. Staff very pleasant and no problem to stay. We enjoyed a nice meal, mixed grill with real chips for a tenner. The area is very quiet and would stay again. Trees at side to walk dogs

Excellent food and drinks here. Staff very friendly with excellent service. We parked here early lunchtime and walked to museum 5 mins away or we would never have got in. Says on site no large moho but we managed to get in corner out of way as car park empty early on (8.5 m long)Would recommend parking early on and walking to beamish to guarantee your space. Massive mixed grill is bargain at tenner and starters are a meal themselves. Will be back again soon as got year pass for museum.

Just did Beamish museum and stayed there for the night. Very good pub grub, recommend the mixed grill, great value for money. Tucked away in the corner of the car park, nice and quiet.
