What a great stopover, pub is excellent and dog friendly, decor different in a good way, very large beer garden and plenty of places to park for large and small units, right next to the river and good places to walk dog. There is also a toilet and shower available, will be visiting the fish again. No electric hook up.

We just stayed there over the weekend (very sunny end of March). Be aware it is now £10/night per van, not free. This is made clear on their website. http://www.thefishatwixford.com/the-great-outdoors.html

As well as Stratford Upon Avon, Coughton Court (National Trust) is not far. Also Ragley Hall.

We parked in a lovely spot on the riverbank by the weir as the ground was dry.
The pub has fun quirky decor, great pub food and friendly service.
Definitely one to visit again.

Very friendly pub/restaurant that is dog friendly (in the bar). Our dog loved it as the staff kept giving her biscuits- she'll be back and so will we!
What is more, the motorhome pitch is free! OK so it's just a place to park up for the night but what else do you want for the price!!

Perfect, just what this site is about, free parking if you have a meal in this quirky pub.
Expect nothing but a parking spot in a nice location - we’ll be back

A handy location just off the A46, other than a bit of distant road noise it could have been way out in the sticks.
The facilities are exactly as described, good food at a reasonable price and friendly for dog owners.
There are plenty of benches for outdoor dining overlooking the river and a most interesting bar and restaurant interior.
Impressed with the staff, a good team.
The MH parking area is far enough to the rear to feel secure and relaxed.

Handy stop just off main road. Eclectic is how I would describe the bar. Very welcoming staff, there was a bit of delay and problem with our meal but it was dealt with very quickly.

Well kept beer, plenty of outside seating next to a river. Great play area for the kids. Several options for parking. We parked in the top carpark so there was some road noise but not too intrusive but there are another couple of carparks if you want to be further away.

Would use again for sure.

Wonderful pub, well worth a diversion for. We are thinking of travelling from Lancashire just to go back. Really quirky interior, friendly staff and really good pub grub! Was really busy when we were there.

Camping field is through the carpark alongside the river. Large play area for younger travellers. Would HIGHLY recommend!! Campers are welcome if eating at the pub. Food prices very good.

Great Motorhome stop, good food, friendly staff. Stayed on a busy Saturday but not a problem, there was a family camping also but plenty of room for us all. We had the pasta & it was delicious. very quirky pub, quite unique, we liked it very much. It clearly caters for families with large play area next to the river but not a problem for a couple as there is plenty of space. I would highly recommend this pub stopover.

Perfect country pub, loads of space on the overflow car park. It was just us and our friends. Free to park overnight if you book a table. Food was great with really friendly service. They were really welcoming to us in our motorhomes. We were there on the night of 18th December and woke up to 4" of snow. We only just managed to get out of the car park so keep that in mind. We only live 20 minutes away so will be coming again for sure. Pub stopovers are definitely the way forward.

Was such a good stopover, we stayed another night. Ate both nights in pub. Really friendly staff, food was amazing and decor was really different, had us looking around for ages, just taking in the splendour. Will definitely stop here again. Flat parking in overspill car parks, two grass, one with a bit of hard standing. Think they prefer you to park on grass which was good for us with dogs.

We stayed here last night and will be back when next in the area. The pub is quirky but delightful and very popular as it was full on a Tuesday night. Dogs are also welcome and he was given his own selection of doggy treats. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were offered the main menu together with a separate daily menu, we had the marinated olives and crackling straws for nibbles both highly recommended, followed by super large fish and chips. We parked in the first overspill car park which was ideal and quieter.

A great pub stopover next to the RIver Arrow in Warwickshire. Plenty of space to park as you asked to park on the grassed overflow car park which is a better location than the main car park as it further away from the road and you won't be disturbed by any late leavers, plus there is a bit of a view across the fields. The pub is more restaurant than traditional pub and has a very quirky interior with unusual decorations but all adding to the appeal. It is expected to purchase a meal for free parking but the food is excellent and good value midweek with mains at £8 and starters/desserts £4. We spent £45 on meal for two with wine & drinks - not bad. The pub is also very dog friendly with free doggy treats and are also welcome in the restaurant. Staff are also very friendly. Call in advance to book. Good beer garden with seating at the rivers edge and a substantial play area to keep the kids occupied. Would recommend if in the area
