Overall a nice site with lots of improvements going on (fyi: they are closed in feb for somenof these works). One shower block was refurb and overall very nice - hot showers, plug sockets. NOTE: they dont supply loo roll. Didnt notice any washing machines either.View all reviews by helenlmorley
Quiet at night and a beautoful view
Nice modern cafe/minimart to the side.
Plot size was fine although little to divide each plot so at peak time unlikely to be very private.
Good surface to pitch the awning.
site itself doesnt have direct access to the beach but there is a small one just outside but better to drive up the road where there are stunning beaches.
Not much within walking distance and fast road with no pavements
We stayed 1 night enroute to the Algarve. We choose a pitch away from the road overlooking the bay. With 2 adults, a dog and hook up it was €16.20 a night. Washrooms were clean and showers hot. Good security although you have to exit the site to access the adjacent beach. Snack bar with drinks next door. Main town is 3k along busy and windy road with no footpath. Good overnighter.View all reviews by HymerRamble
Lovely place, tranquil, lucky enough to have sea front pitch, came for 2 nights stayed 6. There is a road directly behind it, but cant say its been noisey or bothered us at all, not noticed concrete lorries at all..View all reviews by jemabarr
Yes you do need transport to get to Setubal or the beaches...electric bikes are perfect & road users stay well clear.
Setubal has 2 distinct areas, lovely cobbled historic tiny steets & squares, seperated from the fishing port & famous indoor market by long “green band” of public gardens & fountains / sculptures
Furthest Shower block great with loads hot water Only tiny thing dont like is cold water for washing up in, but hey we have hot water in moho
Good size sand pitches. Lovely facilities and a very secure site but in the middle of nowhere. Road outside is very busy with concrete lorries passing all night.View all reviews by Rewindthegap
We had a quiet night stay here. Showers were good and kept clean. Site not very busy during our stay. Small bar next door.View all reviews by carkey
Part of former municipal campsite now run as a private aire. No direct access to the estuary but next door to a small bay with a nice beach. Small bar / restaurant nextdoor. Nice view across the estuary from most pitches. Facilities clean and modern but no hot water available when we visited & no reduction given for this. €14.40 including electric. That said there are the most amazing outdoor showers which overlook the estuary! A little road noise from coast road behind site but not too bad.View all reviews by sallyr1964
An old campsite with no direct access to the water all fenced in. The price is also €10.80 a night hot showers and services electric €3.60 a day extra. Nice views across the estuary not much else.View all reviews by paulsu
Stayed overnight in September and was only charged 10.80 for the 2 of us with electric. Once you've got your pitch for the night, you can drive back into town and there's a free M/H car park by Garcia's restaurant. Plenty to see in this very pretty town. One the main road there are lots of alley ways leading to beautiful cobbled pedestrian only streets with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. Lovely old church in the town square - well worth a visit. Showers had a problem with water.View all reviews by janeykins22
