Perfect stop before the ferry. Quiet pub, very friendly, lovely food. Close to the main road but noise levels are not excessive. Will definitely use it againView all reviews by Paul456

A very handy stopover en route from Dover to West Sussex. Always great to have a real ale in an old pub after several weeks away! Food is pretty standard pub fayre but tasty. We had a lovely warm welcome and a very quiet and peaceful night. Would definitely return.View all reviews by currentlyaway

Arrived late due to delays on the ferry from Dunkirk to Dover. After calling ahead they were offering meals till 21.00 we arrived at 20.45 but they were happy to serve our meals at 21.15. Slept like a baby. Levelish car park, needed two notches. After ten the car park was almost deserted. Road noise was after 22.00 not notticibal.View all reviews by amsterdamt5

Just spent the night in the Woolpack car park. Good quality surface and fairly level. Great meal in the pub last night.Well prepared meal and friendly staff. The bonus for us is that our Old English Sheepdog was welcomed in the bar area where we ate. Some noise from the nearby main road but not a problem. Dog walking on footpath across fields nearby. No charge for staying overnight but please make sure you spend money in the pub!!View all reviews by billoreilly

Flattish tarmac car park. Fairly exposed when windy! Off a quiet lane although busyish road nearby. Nice view across fields, regardless of which way around you park! Friendly staff. Good food. Usual pub grub plus a fair bit of homemade. Fish pie was more than I could manage!! Good fresh salad with the chicken Kiev which 'bursted forth with buttery garlicness.' Dog friendly in bar, where we ate.View all reviews by flyingbluedog

Nice historic smugglers pub with beams and character. Large portions of food and nice beers. Carpark was large and easy to get in and out of although the lane to the pub is narrow but short.View all reviews by tisme
