Really good site. Clean, spaces available in the morning, but it was almost full by evening. Use of the facilities from the neighbouring campsite us permitted, 2 euros for a shower n s... Location ideal for getting in to Saumur...

There is no wifi here, annoying as we came here to watch the rugby, and no signal for french tv. Not the end of the world but wouldnt have come if we had known. Pleasant walk to the town, services seem to be in good order. €16 as we had to purchase the card, same problems as previous review had to phone to get activated. Not value for money in my opinion.

Great Aire right by the river. Electric and wifi are included in the fee. Level spots demarcated with logs allowing room to sit outside van. Road train passes entrance and goes through the town to the Chateau. Easy walk/cycle into town. Swimming baths opposite the entrance

A great Aire, offering free water, waste dumping and EHU.... very popular at approx £12 per night. Pay via Pass’Etapes to enter barrier. There are no toilet facilities, but dont let this put you off. A 15 mimute walk will get you into the town with many bars and restaurants. Beautifully set up for cyclists, both around the town and up to the wine caves (about 3 miles outside the town). MoHos can get to all the caves, and although parking may be tight for larger vehicles, is still possible. Love Saumur, and will keep returning

Used it as a stop for blindes tank museum. Nice aire good services. Few brits on site to tell areas to visit. Steady stroll into town takes about 15mins with markets/bars/shops etc. All good.

Aire ideally placed for exploring Saumur. 15 minutes walk along the river & over the bridge takes you to the centre of town. Tourist train stops outside aire 4/5 times a day for 50 minute tour of town, 2 chances to hop on/off - at chateau & centre. Service point at entrance to aire so need to return to entrance before exiting at opposite end. Municipal indoor swimming pool next door. Camp site next door allows use of showers for €2. Beware the sound of croaking frogs on the river!

Our first encounter with a pass'etapes Aire. The machine was out of cards so we had to phone the helpline and paid over the phone. We then had to call the helpline again to exit. Frankly cannot see the point of pass'etape cards. Well placed site for Saumur with some grassy areas. 3 mohos decided to park on the grass right next to us in spite of plenty of free pitches available. Ho Hum. View would be better if the stadium wasn't in the way.

Nice clean site easy access. There is wifi near the Bourne we use a wifi booster to get the signal further away from the Bourne. Perfect for access to Saumur which is great to walk around. The Chateau is well worth visiting.

good spot for walks along river and easy walk/ride into Saumur. Large marked pitches, all with EHU. Borne not as accessible as we would have liked, and probably difficult at busy times. No WiFi - which is supposed to be included at all CCP sites. Expensive for what we got.

Great spot on the island in the middle of town. Close walk/cycle to most things. We took the cycle tracks to Le Cadre Noir for a show. All very professional. Enjoyed Saumur. Too much to see. Must return for the tank museum.

Not the cheapest Aire by any stretch, but if location is everything then it has a lot going for it. Pleasant shady spot, short walk into the town, EHU for all pitches. We arrived at around 5:30pm on a Tuesday to find it less than half full, but apparently it's very busy at weekends.

Rather expensive for us. Electricity’s included whether you want it or not. You need a camping car parks.com card purchased at the barrier. Clean well maintained and good access to the town. No views unless you look into the accessory part of the river. Facilities are rather annoying as they are located as a single bollard and water drop area at the entrance not the excit.

Comfortable aire outside the campsite. Short walk to the shops. There is also a laundrette amongst the shops.
