Well maintained 2* municipal campsite next to the river . Entrance has height barrier which is kept closed & locked overnight. Need to arrive between 9am to noon or 3pm to 6pm when warden will be on site (but possibly not in his office )
Town has a medieval tourist circular walk which is worth doing, take a photo of the route on your phone (map on campsite notice board) as the signage around town is a bit hit and miss.
Great cycling on the nearby canal towpath of lateral de la Garonne.
Town itself looked a bit run down in places also be aware that the bridge in the town over the river has 3.5t weight limit.
Train line on opposite bank but noise not intrusive as all electric trains.

We arrived at 11am when the reception was shut. The phone number given for out of hours access was not contactable and a height barrier prevented us getting on the site. Not wanting to hang around till the site reopened at 3pm we found somewhere much nicer in La Fontet. The site is in a pleasant location beside the Garonne river, though the railway and main road run along the opposite bank so could be noisy It is close to La Reole which is a historically interesting town but seems to have nothing else to commend it.
