Sadly the police are now moving motorhomes on allowing 4 hours parking only. At the moment there are no signs stating that!

Someone recently posted on facebook that police moved all campervans off this site at beginning of February, and put up signs saying maximum parking time 4 hours

There are signs stating only four hours parking allowed but thats enough time to go to Elliotts for fish and chips ( highly recommend )
Police patrol several times a day here so dont risk an overnight stay .

A lovely peaceful nights sleep along with about 20 other motorhomes. Plenty of bins and lovely walks along the beach front. Plenty of restaurants and shops all within walking distance.

Stayed here for one night only, arrived around 1pm & left the following day around 11am due to bad weather coming in. Great popluar free overnight stop. Make sure you park in the designated areas. Toilet on beach, plenty of bins, and a water tap by the toilet. Quirky Spar shop in town, some nice bars. Nice beach. Police do patrol area but never saw any issues. Over 80 vans here Friday night. No issues overnight. Max stay 72hrs. Not meant to put out chairs or other camping items but saw others doing it.

We stopped off in February last year and this is still a great free spot for walking and cycling. There is currently no restriction on the number of nights you stay so possibly the 48 hour rule is relaxed during January; there were around 50 vans here when we arrived. Toilet was available when we arrived but is now locked off. We assume someone must have misused this facility. Advised that over Christmas there were chemical toilets and mobile food outlets adjacent to the rock formations.

Great place to stay, fantastic beach views lots of bars which are a bit pricey in my opinion at €4 a pint but then you are staying for free. Was nice to sit at the beach bar with a glass of wine and just look out to sea. Must be around 15 MH here. Would definately return.

Intended to stay the night on 30 Jan, but Police came and all but one van left. I moved to a side street as I did not want to be moved after dark. beautiful place, but the 4 hour parking appears to be enforced.

Loved it here. Super large carpark surrounded by beach and mountains in nice small coastal town. There must have been about 30 vans , no bother from anyone. Notices did go up about a moto event the next day starting at 7am so sadly we only stayed the one night.
Excellent coastal walk past lovely secluded beaches.

Large Car park opposite the sea and next to the rock formations in this quiet beautiful village. One way takes you to a stunning coastal walk, the other to Mazarron Port. There are bins in the car park, a public toilet and beach bar opposite and a number of other bars and restaurants. Only stayed 2 nights however would’ve liked to have stayed longer. Its a shame that one of the locals takes it upon himself to drive around the car park a number of times each day putting notes on windscreens stipulating max 48 hours and no camping behaviour, which of course everyone respected, however he put 3 notes on our van within 24 hours! Police drove by & didn’t bother us at all.

As other reviews. Great place for a couple of nights stop nice beach and walks along prom easy access by bike to purto mazarron. Beware not to sit out in chairs etc as could be moved on by police. Man comes round every day to place notices on vans stating some rules and only allowed to stop 48 hours but understand he has no authority even though the notices are police headed paper.

This is one lovely location.

but reading all the reviews is it any wonder we are a bit confused.

This is what happened to us, we arrived park at the rear away from the Toad Stools, a local drove up told us to move to the front, park along facing road, which we did. He also gave us a sheet of paper telling us quite clearly only 48 hrs here and no more also no chairs, ect. He came six to eight time that day in his jeep, to tell or move people and making then do the same. The police came by a didn't do or say anything.
This happen the next day, if you put the paper sheet in the front window, it stop them keep knocking on your van to remind you?!?!
But There is ACIS campsite up the road?

Nice place to stop when the winds are not high.
Local police called by no problem you can only stay 48 hour they were taking all the Motorhomes registration numbers around us. There is a British Restaurant just up the road who served Sunday roast dinner 3 course meal for €11

04.02.2019 Police are giving notices to everyone that you can park for two nights only, with no camping behaviour. The Dutch van next to us has an awning, tables and chairs out... Another motorhomer earlier was caught by a local connecting a pipe from his van to one of the beach taps and the Police were called.
It's the actions of a selfish few spoiling it for everyone.
The parking place itself is lovely, just opposite the beach.

Stayed for 2 nights early February the parking area did get very busy maybe 50 vans on our first night but many left early morning. The police came round both days and took reg numbers and issued notices to people who were “camping” but not to anyone else. This is a great spot with some lovely walks over the the cliffs towards Puntus de Calnegra or into the lovely town of Mazaron. A couple of shops in the village, dont miss the supermarket it is crammed to the gunnels. Plenty of bars and restaurants and a stunning beach. Please don’t break the no camping rules and hopefully we can continue to use this spot for years to come.

Spent two (no charge) nights parked at the rear of the capark. If you park at the front the police will move you on. At the rear they give you a written sheet stating 48 hours only. Public toilets on the beach that are locked overnight; signage on door stating no cassette emptying. Great spot with Spar in the town; fabulous coastal walk to the West.

Great large very flat area. About thirty vans here when we arrived. Apparently there have been a few complaints so not sure how long this will remain available. But a wonderful spot with fantastic cycle routes and walking. Beach restaurant opposite does lovely fish but quite pricey. Always ask what the cost of SM items are, this is fish sold by weight. We had a shock when our languestines cost €24 each. Ouch.

Nice place to stop a few nights out of season, the police do come round and will not tolarate chairs out nor ramps you will be pushing your luck if you stop more than a 2 - 3 nights. The foot showers on the beach are salt water so dont be tempted to fill your van with it.

We ended up staying here for almost a week, leaving for one day to service and coming back again. Great flat parking, lots of other vans, peaceful at night. Lots of walking along the coast and into the hills behind. Will definitely go back. It’s worth walking into Mazarrón - lots of nice restaurants around he harbour area.

Stayed here for two nights with 8 or 9 other vans. Nice village with a small supermarket and bars and restaurants. W/C on the beach. Walk up the hill to the left of the parking and you will find a marked walk some of which is on newly prepared tracks, with stunning views.

Nice spot right on the beach, level parking, didn’t stay the night as we were the only one there, (must admit to wondering why this was)
Close to bars and restaurants.

We stayed here last night without any problems, there were 5 other campers here and we were nicely spread out. There are signs that parking and camping is not allowed for campers. I think this gets enforced in summer and if there are lots of campers.
There is a public toilet on the beach, open from 9am to 8pm and cleaned regulary
