Beautiful, quiet and spacious. But I think I had better type more!View all reviews by rumour
Lovely FREE stop on our journey, Forgeres is a lovely town with a fantastic Chateau. The Aire is on hard standing, mainly gravel and is in line astern format. Plenty of room but this is a popular place so arrive early and you should get in, even if you have to wait for someone to leave. Be aware that there are two electric car charging bays as you enter the Aire and you should not park there.
Well worthy. Have to disagree with the view, the view at night from your motorhome when they turn the lights on and youre sat outside with a glass of vino is to die for. Well worthy of walking about the townView all reviews by suavecarve
Good site next to the chateau with a walk uphill into the town. I used it as a stop over between mid Brittany and a site on the Seine before going to Dieppe. Facilities fine. Might be difficult to get into at times in August but I had no problem. The site doesn't have a view but it is well worth doing the signposted town walk along the wall of the chateau as there are great views over the town. A good place to stop.View all reviews by alistairgillies
Dedicated motorhome parking area opposite the medieval Castle in Fourges, free parking, water and waste disposal. Parking is on reinforced gravel/grass and parked inline rather than side by side which is much better.View all reviews by admin
The town of Fourges is a real find, the Castle complete with a water filled moat and it's thirteen towers, is really quite impressive, and the public gardens are a credit to the town. The castle apparently dates back to the 11th century and costs 8€ each to visit.
We parked at the aire and went into town to eat, stopping at a nice street side restuarant "La Duchesse Anne" at the castle gate. We didn't stay overnight at the aire as we had other plans, but have no reason to suspect it would not be a good place to stop if required.
Well worth a visit.
Nice free aire right next to the castle (well worth a visit) it gets very busyView all reviews by pigletspilot
