Great free parking along harbour / sea -side road, on route to cherbourg port, turn off round about, then turn left, its a dead end road, lots of space even in early july, few cars, literaly just on edge sea wall, better than sitting in port queue for an extra hour - no facilities, must be able turn in road & pull off width, we were fine just under 8m
