Used this site as a stopover to and from Scotland. What a great place!View all reviews by helenp58
Beautiful sea view, dog friendly. Cafe on car park but not open long although it is now October, can use their toilets when they're open. Recycling bins by cafe. Best to turn into left hand car park on arrival, as there's more space for motorhomes. Although mainly just us at night, the carparks are very busy with dog walkers and beach combers from early morning. Very quiet at night, road not that busy, saw one train but were never disturbed by train noise. Walked into town along the promenade right from the car park which takes you all the way there, plenty of shops. We used levellers on front wheels as slightly sloping.

Stayed overnight on a Thursday in a very good spot and found a level pitch. There were 5 vans when we arrived however only 3 stayed over. Cafe, toilets and bins. Excellent sea views and easy access to beach and an easy walk into Seaham. Quiet all night and would stay again.View all reviews by SharonC38

We found this gem of a spot from this site. large car park overlooking the sea. Some picnic tables available. Needed to use levelers but no issue. Parked at top of stairs to beach. Tonia's cafe offered clean toilets during their business hours. Tonia also offered great food at a decent price. We felt safe and comfortable here. Bins were cleaned in the mornings.View all reviews by CNY925

Fantastic little stopover. Carpark wasnt full even though start of school holidays we parked up right next to a picnick table. Great views and access to the beach although quite a steep climb back up the steps. Close to town. Some great little pubs we were made to feel very welcome. Fantastic fish and chips on the front. Only downside, they allowed folk to use there mobile phones during the pub quiz ????

A fantastic free and clean spot to keep coming back to. The views are indeed superb especially when the sea is rough. The cafe offers clean toilets normally between 9-6 but can close early at times. The interesting pebble beach is flanked by a very good walk way almost into Seaham central, about 20 mins away. We visited the totally free attraction of The National Glass Centre twenty mins away in Sunderland and returned to Seaham for another night. Council van pops round and bins are emptied.View all reviews by bishland

Nice spot with a nice little walk down the beach into town.
plenty of shops, cafes and bars.
A few boy racers pulled in around 10pm but nice and quiet after they'd left.
Good spot and easily accessible for any size van.

Still free in March. Large, mostly level car park. Amazing views out to sea. Plenty of bins (emptied early) and recycling bins. Toilet in the cafe. Several other vans in when we arrived but they all left and we had the whole place to ourselves overnight so very quiet, just a little noise from the road and train line. Metal detectorists arrived at 0530.....falling tide.....followed by dog walkers from 6 and then sea glass hunters from 7. Weekly Sunday market started on 24th so a little noise from there as they were setting up. None of the noise was enough to wake my lot. A short walk along the prom to the town centre, a few shops and plenty of options for eating or drinking. Great beach ????View all reviews by TheSherratts

Free parking in the winter months. Fantastic sea view, direct access to the coastal path, and steps down to the beach. A little bit of road noise, but nothing to spoil an overnight stay.View all reviews by land250

What a lovely afternoon pebble (whole beach full) and glass hunting. Apparently Seaham beach is the best in the country as until 100 years ago it had the biggest bottle manufacturer in England and all the waste glass was dumped in the sea and is now being washed up as little jewels.View all reviews by thesilverlady

Just spent two nights here very quiet no issues.
Cafe opens around 8/9 toilets inside if you purchase a drink ect.
Ten minutes walk onto seaham town on the coastal path or plenty of buses going by.
Nice pub in town called The crows nest.
Steep steps to the beach but otherwise a great place to park..
Plenty of bins so please dispose of your rubbish .

Moved on from another place agter noise and found this place. Great location and peacefull nights sleep. Not a flat surface so mist might need ramps to level.View all reviews by grbirch

5 units here last night (3 Brits, Swiss and German) There is an old 'No Overnight' sign that people ignore on the way in. No sign of local authorities or Police. Cafe (Tonias) opened at 0800. Full fried English breakfast around £6. Extensive menu of other food. Toilets in the cafe for use of customers. Shopping center around 1.5 miles along coast road in Seaham with a big Asda for a good resupply. Right on the beach and lots of people walking dogs. Recycling bins next to the cafe. Right, heading for breakfast and a coffee. Stay safe out there.View all reviews by Denver

Stumbled across this gem whilst checking the other Seaham suggestions out. Noticed on the way out a “removed” No Overnight Parking sign but there were a few MoHo’s there & no-one gave any sign of upset. Cafe on site too, not sure of openings but looked busy when it was so should be good. Great beach, lovely for the dog & a nice walk into town that has all the shops you could wish for. Great spot.View all reviews by northernspirit
