Our experience of this site was disappointing, in so far as despite a provisional booking we were turned away on arrival. Not ideal late in the day when you were booked on an early ferry the next morning. Attitude of owner was very much that it was not his problem. When asked if he knew of any sites nearby he suggested one on the other side of the island. He wouldnt even let us use the facilities quickly and fill up with water. Not very helpful. Site looked basic, accessed along a narrow driveway, maybe enough for a quick stopover. Generally it felt as though the owner would be happy to take money when it suited, but this was subject to change at owners discretion. Fair enough!!View all reviews by iandff

We stayed one night. Owner very helpful, and pitches fairly level, although no grass. The facilites, especially recycling well organised. The toilets/shower showing signs of age, but clean. We used the diabled shower, so plenty of room to change. Short walk into Uig. The shop was disappointing, but it may have just been a bad day that most shelves were empty. The pub/restaurant served Skye beer on tap, and the food looked great, although did not try any. Views out to sea, and ferry terminal really close.View all reviews by ghill2

We used this site as we needed to get over to Harris for a few days. (1 hour 40 crossing) So we only slept 2 nights. This was a great place to stay. Martin the owner is a very friendly and helpful guy. We would definitely stay here again.View all reviews by calthedogman

Stayed one night. Good hard standing with hook up and we were near the tap. Shower block didnt seem to have enough toilets\showers for the number of pitches but were nice and clean. £30 with ehu. Martin was friendly and helpful as was the lady who greeted us on arrival. We didnt get email confirmation, just text, we wernt in “the book” on arrival but there was plenty of space so no issue. Good quiet stay. Couple of minutes from the ferry.View all reviews by Moondragon

We stayed at this site for four days on our way to Tarbert to do the outer hebrides. Martin, the owner was great, and let us sit at the side of the house looking over the sea. What a view, and the pitch was perfect. The shower block is very basic but does what it says it is designed for overall I would stay again I fact we are staying on our return to skyeView all reviews by jimbo1953

Stayed for one night before catching the ferry. All hardstanding with hookup. Not a pretty site in itself but great views and very handy for the ferry. Push button showers with loads of hot water. Washing machine and dryer. Owners very friendly and helpful. Lone piper playing at sunset from a house up the hill was a nice touch!View all reviews by BarbL

We stopped hear for one night as we were catching the ferry to Harris the next day. All hard standing with all the amenities, the wash rooms were clean and tidy with plenty of hot water. The owners were very friendly may be its because they are originally from Yorkshire. We will definitely use again when on Skye next time.View all reviews by ste5285

Ignore the recent review by lesleyanne72. We stayed at campsite yesterday. Owner very helpful and friendly. Explained electric company had been doing some upgrades lately and there had been a power cut, but all works completed now. Lovely views across the water. Large flat parkup area with lots of hook-ups. Showers, toilets, wash-up and laundry all kept clean and tidy, and showers good and hot. If you look back on reviews of this site you will see lots of glowing reports, don't let one bad review put you off this perfectly good campsite.View all reviews by PaulJules
