Coursavy is situated in the far south of the Auvergne in the Gorges du Lot at an altitude of 200ms. It is surrounded by wooded hills up to 800ms. Here on the border between Cantal and Aveyron you will still find the authentic France, hardly touched by "progress". Conques,one of the many historic sites around Coursavy is 7 kms away. This ancient place of pilgrimage has a very impressive cathedral, built in Norman style.
The campsite is situated on the banks of the river Lot. Owing to its sheltered location it benefits from a mild climate, even in early spring.
