Beautiful, peaceful, Riverside location, stunning views. facilities good although a short walk to main campsite adjacent. Rhayader a short cycle ride. visitors centre good good

A delightful peaceful grass pitch with limited accomodation with good spacing between. One can walk down to the riverside at the bottom of the field. Good views up to the dam and surrounding hills. Heard cuckoo both mornings we were there. Red kites flying overhead. You are right beside the cycle/ walking path to the reserviors at Elan Valley and to Rhaydher. The excellent facilities which are brand new are shared with the elan oaks site which is next door with the hard standing pitches.

Excellent little site, ideal location for the Elan Valley reservoirs and dams. Small but clean and tidy amenity block with new blocks under construction. Friendly and knowledgeable owner. Mobile phone signal very poor but free WiFi available. 16A ehu.

An excellent grass CL site with EHU & water at each pitch. Large grass field with direct access to river Elan and views of the mountains. Shower & toilet block good but has shared use with adjoining Elan Oaks campsite. Relaxed and straight forward with good walking to the Elan visitor centre, dams, reservoirs & woodlands plus cycle/walking route into market town of Rhayader.

Our stay was the week after Half Term. Hardly busy but the person in the ohone said they hardly had spaces (Covid spacing?) All hard-standings were taken, but the huge field only had three motorhomes and one tent on it. Its pretty slopey with ridges. Only a pair of toilets and a wash station, a grey water drain (difficult to manoevre into position to get the waste pipe over) and a CDP 50 yards away - for £20/night - seemed expensive No Reception hall or office, so its a bit like an Aire but why the huge Toilet/Shower block under construction when few tent campers go there? Most visitors are in self-contained MHs or caravans and could come all year round if the place stayed open
