Located in the foothills of Pilat, Boulieu is a charming fortified village of the Middle Ages. Built on a gently sloping hill 420m above sea level, its location allows it to be sheltered against northern winds, fostering a very pleasant climate.
Boulieu has a rich past and has preserved an important heritage.
Guided tours of the medieval village are offered by the association "Les Compagnons du Patrimoine". This association has built a small museum. During the visits, you can discover the museum and you will walk the streets listening to the stories and legends and discover a charming village of Ardèche.
