This is a really nice aire by the canal in the town centre. There are 2 areas for motorhomes - outside the captainerie and across the bridge. We stayed outside the captainerie and I think we paid 9€. If the captainerie is closed then pay at the tourist office in the town.
There's a bar nearby and some pleasant walks along the canal from there i.e. opportunities for dog walking!
I'm sure we will return.

What a nice spot! Now on my list of favourites and we must come back. Friendly reception and very helpful. Cost in Oct 2017 was 8.40€ for 2 and this included free wifi.

What a great place to spend some time relaxing! The facilities are really good and clean for the price - 8 euros a night! Still trying to work out why it is 9 euros from November to March. It includes electricity, showers, wi-fi and water. Lots of paths along the canal for walking and cycling and it would appear that you can fish the canal if that takes your fancy - not sure about licences, but I've a feeling this can be sorted at the Capitainerie. The beer museum is interesting to visit and the bar is a must afterwards. You can stay for longer periods and if you stay 10 nights, the 11th is free! The only negative thing I can say is that the town is tired and desperately needs some updating. I'll added some photos when I get home and can resize them.

We stayed at the small side, beside the office, for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. A pleasant location on the canal bank with a bar 30 seconds away, which made it hard to leave. We found it quiet enough. The town centre is close and worth a wander around, as is the European Beer Museum, around a 10 minute walk from the Aire.

Site split on two sides of the canal de l'Est.
One side has spaces for 6 vans next to the Capitainere office along with the service point, The opposite side has far more spaces (at least 50 with overflow space for more)
We stopped on the small side thinking we had a better spot overlooking the canal but this was probably a mistake as there was some road noise (although nothing excessive) and next morning when we went and looked at the other side, there were some bays overlooking the river/canal as well.
Site even has a shower cubicle and toilet block.
Nice water mill on far side of bridge.
