The site is in the Shibden valley, not far away from and on land that was once part of the Shibden Hall estate owned by the Lister family. One of whom was Ann “Gentleman Jack “ Lister.
Close to the town of Halifax with its many attractions. Including The Piece Hall, Calderdale Industrial Museum, Dean Clough, Eureka children’s national museum, Bankfield Museum and The Gibbet.
Calderdale is popular with tv production companies and quite a few programmes have been filmed in the area. Gentleman Jack, Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax and The Gallows Pole.
A 10 minute walk to The Travellers Inn. Owned by Osset Brewery. Sample some fine real ales.
