Lovely peaceful overnight stop. Fabulous views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Nice hike to and across the damn and to the fort on the opposite side of the lake. Small cafe/gite near the parking area. Bins available.

Popular stopover in a stunning location at Mont Cenis next to the lake. Very popular despite its remoteness. By 6pm people struggling to park in September. Lots of walking in the area , but access to lake retricted by electric fencing to control cattle. Bonus was watching the cows being milked by the mobile milking machine. Absolutley dark and silent at night and quite chilly due to the elevation of approx 6500ft. Beautiful , wild camping at its best. No services other than bins.

Spent a peaceful night here with about 15 other motorhomes. The views are breath taking. Marmots running about on the hillside. Got quiet chilly after the sun went down and was 6 degrees in the morning. Beautiful place to stay the night.

We were unlucky and stuck in a cloud for the duration of our stay at this free car park over looking a large resevoir. The car park was packed with dozens of motorhones and there was no view plus the temperature had dropped from 28 to 12 degrees during the climb. There was a sweet cafe gite half way up the hill and a wonderful herd of cows that we saw being milked.

We spent a night up here. The drive up and the views ade breathtaking. It was colder than we expected but nice. Snow chaines are necessary if using this road between 15th sept to 15th april . Highly recommanded if you get the chance.

Stunning aire, amazing views, fresh mountian air, great walking and perfect cafe just 5 min walk back up the road. We loved this site, the road to it is stunning and if you love the mountains it Is hard to leave. Parking on the side of the no through road that leads down to the lake, safe and easy to manoeuvre. No facilities, but the views etc easily make this a 10 for me!
