Frugaldom is a small, voluntarily run nature and wildlife project near Kirkcowan in Dumfries and Galloway. We offer overnight parking for self-contained campervans or smaller motorhomes on a bring what you need, leave no trace basis. We are rural, off-grid and have no running water. Parking is within a sanctuary setting with ponies, goats and wildlife. Arrival must be during daylight hours or before 5pmm whichever is the earliest unless otherwise agreed beforehand.We can make allowances for those of you travelling via Cairnryan to fit in with ferry times. Mobile signal is unreliable so we are not always able to receive calls or access voice messageswhile working outdoors. Please text your name and number so we can return your call as quickly as possible.
All pets must be kept under control and on short leads, kept within the designated parking area. We are surrounded by great walks through forests and around lochs but please pick up dog dirt and be aware of the Scottish Outdoor Access Code, especially with regards to dogs and other livestock.
